DO ME A FAVOUR!

"DO YOU think if i slam my head into my locker enough that it'll give me amnesia?" i asked to camryn, her knowing i'm referring to working with felix.

"maybe it won't be, so bad?" camryn said, shrugging her shoulders. i knew she was just as dreadful as i was, me even more. it wasn't going to go well.

"you should go find him and make plans to work on the project, maybe at your house. is your mom going to be home later?" camryn asked, now walking down the hallway next to me.

"no, she's still on her business trip in seattle." i said, dreading what i was going to say next. "fine, i'll try and make an effort to invite him over." i said, immediately sighing.

"great, now i gotta find andrew and we gotta start our project!" camryn exclaimed, very excited for her project. wish i felt the same.

"HEY, IS this seat taken?" i said to a lonely felix, who was sitting at a lunch table.

"yeah, it's for all the friends i don't have because of you.." felix said, rolling his eyes.

"you think i want to work with you?" i said, sitting down from across him. "think again, buddy." i said, letting out a small sigh.

"what you even doing here? aren't you supposed to be "too pretty" to sit with me or something like that?" felix said, putting quotations around me being pretty.

"i guess, whatever," i said, shaking out the thought. "i need you to come over to my house so we can work on our project.." i said quietly.

"say that again, she devil. i don't think everyone else heard you ask me to come over." felix said, giving a smile. that damned smile that got under my skin so god damn well.

"fine, i tried but let the records show i tried to reason with you, felix!" i said, storming off.

"YES CAMRYN, i tried my best, he's still angry with me!" i ranted to my best friend over facetime. she was at home, currently doing some makeup since the winter carnival was tonight. we both planned on going together but i knew camryn and i knew she was going to find some way to see andrew when she was there.

"it just takes time?" she said, in a question.

"yeah, maybe in like ten years!" i gave my best friend an unamused look, knowing if i did anything, it would just fail.

"isn't he gonna be at the carnival tonight?" she asked me, looking to her phone.

"yeah, probably with victor.." i trailed off, thinking how i wished felix was nicer to me, like he was with victor.

"get felix on the ferris wheel, he can't deny talking to you then!" camryn exclaimed.

"that's actually not a bad idea but how are we going to get victor and felix apart?" i asked her.

"leave that up to me. don't worry, we're going get this to work." camryn said in an encouraging tone. hopefully this works because i don't know what the outcome would be.

THE LAUGHS echoed throughout the lot as people rode the carnival rides, played the games, ate the food or just hung out with their friends.

camryn and i walked around the lot, trying to find felix and put our plan into motion. he was nowhere to be found, out of sight, out of mind.

as i began to lose hope, i saw the familiar new kid.

"victor!" i called, dragging camryn along as i ran over to the boy. "have you seen felix?" i asked.

"yeah, he's over at the churro stand. why?" he asked, laughing lightly at camryn and i. my eyes beamed over to the churro stand, seeing him standing over there, bobbing up and down on his feet.

camryn and i exchanged a look. as i began walking towards the line, she went to the ferris wheel, talking to the worker.

felix turned his head to see me, him rolling his eyes immediately.

"are you following me or something?" he asked, an unamused look written across his face.

"come on, i can't just get a churro either. you are really that full of yourself, felix." i said in a matter of fact voice, standing my ground.

"just don't talk to me.." felix turned around as i gave him a "woah, woah, woah."

"i have an offer. can you just.. give me one ride. you and i together. just one and you can go on afterwards hating me for the rest of your life." i said, showing him the tickets, the right amount for two to ride on the ferris wheel.

"you don't know when to stop, do you, she devil?" he laughed, questioning me.

"please felix.." i said, now waving the tickets in his face.

"you can't take a hint, can you?" he turned around once more. i knew i was wearing him down just by standing next to him. he stood his ground for about another ten seconds before caving in with a sigh. "fine, you get one ride, that's it." he said.

"alright, come on." i said, grabbing his hand, dragging him through the crowded lot. we made our way to the ferris wheel. camryn had stalled the worker with something to be able to get on the ferris wheel by ourselves.

"why did i agree to this?" felix muttered as he sat down the next to the girl who he has hated for years on end.

"can you not hate me for one second?" i asked, hoping this could be one moment that i wouldn't regret for the rest of my life.

the wheel began as the entirety of crowd watched the two of us go round and round.

"you know, i'm really sorry about what i've said in the past.. and i mean it. could you ever forgive me?" i said, sincerely as i possibly could. i knew i could never have him fully forgive me since i hurt his reputation and possibly his self esteem.

it was well known i was sorry for it, unlike andrew. andrew has never distinctly apologized like i have or even tried to be sincere towards felix. and of course, it was stupid of us, me, to talk about felix in that connotation.

"you've apologized a million times. can you realize i'm still mad at you?" he said, angrily.

"why are you still so hung up about it? it happened years ago!" i angrily said back.

"you don't get it, do you? you can get away with practically anything just by batting your eyelashes. i can't get a date or even talk to a girl without lone stone being brought up. it absolutely ruined my social life!" he shouted.

all this time, desperately trying to figure out ways to make an effort to not hate each other, he was just thinking i get everything i want just because of my looks.

"you know what? fuck you felix. i've tried but clearly, you can't get over something that happen years ago.." i said, as the ride stopped. the attendant unlocked the safety bar as i stormed off one way and felix stormed off another way.
