"Come here." Was all the man said, or had needed to say for Jimin to go and lie right by him.
"Need your body heat." He had said, keeping his back turned and the atmosphere as cold as when it started.
"O-oh, uh... y-yeah..." Jimin replied, stuttering as he scooted closer towards the man named Jeon.
Jimin really didn't understand why the man had asked for his name when he didn't give Jimin his full name, but he decided to just disregard the fact because he thought the other must have gone through something traumatic enough for him to want to keep his full name a secret, so he didn't try to budge it any further, but he did want to why he was out here, and what he was doing.
But he'd decided he would just keep his mouth shut in fear of the other to become irritated by his constant questioning, so he left it be for the morning.
Now, Jimin was used to people not being around, due to him hiding underground for some time, but he couldn't understand why this man who'd been dubbed 'Jeon' was all alone, even as far out as his neighborhood his.
He had become curious as to why he was so he had decided to ask.
"U-um... mister Jeon?" Jimin started, leaving the question open in hopes of the other man catching on, which thankfully, he'd answered back.
"What?" He'd stated more than asked.
"W-why were you the only one out here? I mean this far out? Why won't stay where you were? I mean, I'm not trying to intrude, but you probably had a better chance at survival if you'd just stayed where you were before you came here? Why? Why come out this far?" Jimin asked, hearing the muffled sounds of breathing as he'd seen the other body to his right shift just ever so slightly.
"That doesn't concern you. Now sleep." The man named Jeon had stated, which Jimin could tell just by the tone of his voice that he was becoming irritated. Something he was trying to avoid entirely.
Jimin wasn't one to press further, but just the thought of this man being out so far, where there was absolutely nothing for him, boggled him.
So he decided to just stick with not knowing for now, and finally get to sleep, as the sun had mostly set and the faint rays of sunshine had mostly disappeared, leaving behind the surreal thought of what morning would bring.
As he'd finally decided to shut his tired, weary eyes for the night, he'd noticed a little while back that the other man had no mask on, and nothing had affected him, so Jimin decided to take his own off, breath in the stale, sulfuric air, and close his eyes, let his mind take him to dreamland before he had to face the harsh reality of what tomorrow might bring.
.....................
As Jimin awoke, his eyes had layered with dust overnight, which lead him to rubbing away the tired and finally being able to open his eyes.
And as he'd opened his eyes, lashes fluttering open, Jimin began to see the faint, promising yet barely visible rays of sunshine peaking through the corners of windows, making his body become more awake as he began to sit up.
As he'd started sitting up, he'd looked over to his right, and had noticed that the man named Jeon wasn't anywhere to be found.
"WHERE'D HE GO?" Jimin yelled, heart thumping in his chest at the thought of being abandoned already, even though the man had promised to take him halfway to the Seoul Help Center. He began to sit up further, until his was mostly on his rear end while his hands and wrists held his upper body mostly steady.
His adrenaline had kicked in and he began scrambling up and off of the not so decent flooring, feeling the stiff pain of sleeping on the hard floor creeping up in his already sore back.
He immediately began looking around the building, tilting his head and body to look in smaller spaces looking for the mysterious but generous stranger. After about a few minutes of him looking around tirelessly, his eyes came up the welcome sight of the man named Jeon, who had been seen walking around outside, gun in hand, with his handkerchief hanging around his neck acting as a type of mask.
Jimin immediately began to feel relief upon the sight, and went outside right then to ask why he was holding his gun outside, acting as if he had been watching out for something. What, he had no idea.
Relief washed over him as he began making his way out to the guarded man, twisting and turning around bits and pieces of debris on the floor, as well as being careful about any overhangs that might be too dangerous.
As soon as he made his way outside, he had noticed that the environment around him was definitely not as crowded and messy as it was inside
He had also taken notice of how everything seemed the color of a dirty, burnt orange, due to the cloud and ash blockage from the sky.
"I THOUGHT YOU LEFT ME. I THOUGHT YOU ABANDONED ME!!!" Jimin yelled, letting out all of his pent up frustrations upon the still mostly mysterious man.
As he yelled, it caught the attention of the other, who had been looking around on the ground outside, watching for what, Jimin didn't know. But his guard had risen as the man had suddenly shot his gun to his left, startling Jimin.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?!?" Jimin shouted, watching the other man's features tighten just a bit as he looked Jimin straight in the eye, then flicked his gun in that general direction before saying "Do you want giant cockroaches and bugs eating you in your sleep?" Already returning his gun to the original position.
Jimin then stilled and looked behind him to his left, eyes widening and mouth opening in shock as he saw what the other man was referring too.
A giant cockroach crawling on the ground.
He knew then and there to just keep his mouth shut.
