Chapter 14: Promises.

AN: I have flashforward to March.. Because there's only like 2 or 3 more chapters before the next book. Ashton is still in the hospital at this point but I have two surprises for you. HOPE YOU ENJOY!

"Luke what are you doing with my bra?" I yell coming down stairs. He smile throwing it to me.

"Trying it on.. Duh."  He says before going into the kitchen.

"Are you going to the hospital this morning?" Rachel asks. I walk into the kitchen after Luke. I find her sitting at the counter. I nod giving her a small smile. She winks at me as eyes cover my eyes. I squeal in surprise.

"Hey babe." Michael's voice comes to my ears making me nearly melt. Michael and I have been together for about 3 months and he still gives me butterflies in my stomach like the first day we met.

"Hey babe." Luke mimics kissing Rachel on the check. She rolls her eyes. Rachel and Luke have been together for longer than Michael and I and they act like two flirty teenagers. Luke has been talking about asking her to marry but he doesn't know quit yet what to do with my best friend.

"Are you guys coming with me?" I question looking up at the clock. "We need to get a move on." Today was the last day Mum could afford to keep Ashton on life support, and we had to say our goodbyes today. I stayed up all last night kissing into Michael's chest. He tried everything to comfort me but it wasn't working. And between finals and always being at the hospital he was already worried about me.

"Kasey?" Michael says catching my attention. I look up at him confused.

"Yes?" I question. Everyones eyes were on me at this time and I knew why. They were ready to calm me down if I flip out. My panic attacks and black outs have been getting worse here lately. It was scaring everyone, including myself.

"You okay? You look mighty pale, love." Michael says cupping my face. I nod wrapping my arms around him.

"Let's go." I say pulling away. Michael nods following me out there door.

"Mum?" I question coming into the room. She gets out the chair and tries to wipe her tears away quickly. She was trying her hardest to be strong. No matter how many times I tell her everyone breaks down sometimes.

"Honey." She says enveloping me in a hug. I hug her tightly taking in her scent. I had been in this hospital room more times than you can count on your fingers and toes twice. But something was different. I had butterflies in my stomach.

"Mum, when your done can I have a minute alone with Ashton?" I question. At first I thought maybe she would say something about me always having alone time with him, but she doesn't, she nods as I open the door and walk out. Surprisely Michael doesn't follow me out, Luke does.

"Miss Irwin?" An officer questions coming up to Luke and I. I look up confused.

"That would be me.." I say cautiously. He hands me a file folder and turns to leave.

"What is this?" I call after him.

"The case you asked to be filed against Calum Hood. He was found guilty of toying with the brake pedal that caused your brother to be in the accident. You can read his statement." He tells me. "You have a great day, love."
