Taehyung's POV:

I came back to my apartment after I dropped off Anu. I parked my bike, making my way toward my apartment.

I quickly changed my clothes, and then I felt a little thirsty, so I went to the kitchen to drink water.

But as I approached the kitchen I heard a chopping sound.

Jungkook was sitting on the kitchen cabinet, gobbling down ramen.

"Tsk tsk, what is wrong with you?" I tutted, looking at him in disdain.

He acknowledged my presence.

"Hey, Tae!" he greeted me, his mouth full.

"Why are you eating at this hour!?" I asked him.

"I'm growing, bro! I need more food. I have a fast metabolism, you know? I can't help it!" He rebuked.

"Chill dude. You can eat whatever and whenever you want." I told him.

"Why are you late? Where were you till now? I called Soo Joon Hyung. He told me that you left around 11:30." he pointed out, digging wooden chopsticks into his bowl, continuing to stuff his face.

"Yeah, but I came across my friend. I dropped her home on my way and came back now." I explained.

"Her, huh?" He accentuated the word her purposely and winked at me.

"keep your shit on, she's just a friend." I snapped back.

"Who is she?" He jokingly asked.

"You don't know her?" I replied, surprised.

"Who is that friend of yours? I don't know about her!" He exclaimed.

"You don't need to know every friend I have, do you?" I blurted out.

"Come on dude. I know almost all your friends from kindergarten," he replied, urging me to give a name.

"But you don't know, her kookie," I told Tim.

"She's just a good friend. And you already know I'm waiting for someone," I reminded him.

He finished eating, throwing the plastic bowl in the duat bin and coming, over to stand right in front of me.

He put his hands on my shoulder, looking into my eyes.

"Move on, bro. I don't understand. How many years will you wait for her?" he asked, his joking tone replaced by a serious one.

I let out a sigh, meeting his eyes.

"Good things come to those who wait. I have trust in my love. I will wait for her and find her one day." I spat out.

He removed his hands from my shoulder, sitting on a dining chair with CRO comes.

I turned to him, standing in front of him and stuffing my hands in my pockets.

"I can understand your feelings, but I'm starting to get worried about you.  It's not easy to find her." he pointed out, concerned.

"Thank you for your concern. But don't keep arguing with me. We've already talked about this so many times, and I'm not going to change my mind. That's it." I shot him down.

"Ball is in your court, the choice is yours, Tae," he advised and shrugged.

"I'll just leave it at that. How was the party?" He changed the subject.

"It was good," I responded unemotionally.

"That's nice. Good night, Tae, I'm feeling sleepy," he said.

He stood up, yawning and stretching his arms.

"Good night and wake up early by yourself. Don't make me wake you up." I instructed him, scowling.

"Take a chill pill, dude. I will wake up early tomorrow, okay?" he vowed.

"Then I'll see you tomorrow. Good night." I stated dryly.

Jungkook waved at me before he went.

I headed towards my bedroom, opening a drawer in my dresser with a small box I'd opened countless times. I opened it up, holding the ring it housed carefully between my fingers. I couldn't stop looking at it.

How many days I have to wait to meet you? I mean, to look for you, I thought sadly.

Waiting for a loved one is a kind of happiness. I didn't care about other's opinions. I had all faith in my love. I feel the glimmer of hope that one day I would find her.

I basked in my thoughts until I felt a tingling feeling on my foot. Sighing, I left my thoughts alone and looked down.

Yeontan was licking my foot, and I couldn't help but smile at him. I gently put the ring back in its box and put it back in the drawer as I kneeled and held him in my arms. He started to lick my face, and I grinned.

"Hey, I'll take you to meet a special person soon, okay?"

"Being a good boy means you behave like a decent one on that day. Don't embarrass me, okay?" I caressed his head with my hand.

Yeontan and I played together for 30 minutes after that, and I began to feel a little drowsy.

"Okay boy, stop it. It's enough for today." I ordered, placing him in his tiny house in my room, switching off my bedside light, and falling into my dreamland.
