Anusha's pov;
I didn't get time to asked mom about Tae's birthday gift.
I got fresh up, changed my clothes into pajamas, and headed into my mom's room. I opened the door.
She didn't sleep. She was still working on her study table. I went inside and sat on the bed without disturbing her.
"How many times I have to tell you to knock on the door before coming to my room." she snapped without taking her eyes from her papers.
"Come on mom! You are my mother. Why should I have to knock on your door?" I told.
She turned around and scowling at me.
"Okay, I will next time. Don't start your lecture on basic manners. I don't have both time and patience." I concurred. She shook her head in disbelief.
"What do you want?" She asked.
"Mom, I have to ask you something..." I was thinking about how to ask her.
"Tell me fast. I have work to do."
"Wait! Don't make me anxious, I was thinking."
"First decide what you want to ask and call me." She continued her work.
"Mom! Listen. My friend invited me to his birthday party. I thought to go, but..."
"Wait! What? Are going to the party? I can't believe this." She asked in both excited and sarcastic tones.
I was expected this reaction. Being an Introvert I had never gone to any parties. I am allergic to humans from the beginning.
"Don't be too exhilarated. let me finish what I wanted to tell you." I calmed her down.
"I don't want to go to his party with an empty hand. But you know right? I am very bad at giving presents to someone. So please mom helps me to pick any gifts for him." I asked her.
"First tell me. Who is that friend? Is it one of your FRIENDS Jackson and Bambam?" She questioned.
"They are not but I am not going to tell you his name and details. Because last time without my permission you took Jack and Bambam numbers from my phone. After that, you spy behind me and ask them everything about me."
"I did that because I am worried about you. You used to ignore my calls. Hence I took their numbers so that I can ask them about their whereabouts. They are good boys. They talk nice to me." I rolled my eyes at her excuses.
"Whatever! I won't tell his name now. first of all, I don't understand why do you need his name to insist gift for him?" I waggled my eyebrows.
"Okay. At least tell me what type of friend he is to you?" She inquired.
"He is just like a good friend," I told her.
"Just a good friend. I doubt it because you don't take so much interest in giving a present to a JUST FRIEND as far as I know. He may be more than a just friend." She was smirking at me.
"Mom! Don't JUMP into your conclusion. He is just a good friend. Can you stop asking questions and suggest me something fast." I clasped.
"If you LIE to me then I don't give you any ideas. Tell me honestly. I know you very well. I am your mother." she tittered.
She is good at blackmailing. She shouldn't be a nurse. She should be a leader of any mafia gang so that she would make lots of money by blackmailing.
"This is not what you are thinking. There is nothing to lie in the first place. He is just my friend. He helped me in difficult situations. Hence I wanted to give him a present out of gratitude. Are you satisfied?" I let out.
