Sam sighed and pressed his forehead against mine, "Adi... You are a sweet girl. I can help you in any way except this one."
"I know." I agree with him. "I'm sorry for making this awkward."
"You are not making this awkward at all. Hell, if anyone is, it's our parents." We both laughed.
"Well, I guess I better go before someone sees me." I said.
Sam and I both stood up. He wandered over to his door and I followed him.
"Madame." He said, holding it open for me.
"Thank you, kind sir." I said. I blushed walking out of his door. I find it cute when he gives me nicknames.
I almost made it back to my room when someone startled me.
"Adelaide? What are you doing?" I heard someone whisper.
Of course, someone would be up at this exact moment! Doesn't this shit only happen in books or TV shows?
"I... Uh... Went to the bathroom." I stated.
"Really? Then where were you when I was in there 10 seconds ago?" Aiden said mockingly.
"I must have been sleeping walking?" I lied, thinking it might work.
"Do you think I'm stupid? We are twins for crying out loud. I know when you are lying, dumb-ass." He knew something was up, you could see it written all over his face.
"Fine!" I hissed, "I'll tell you, but not here. Follow me."
I had Aiden follow me to my room, where I shut and locked the door. I leaned against the wall for a second and closed my eyes. I had to muster up the balls to tell my brother. I was unsure if I could tell him everything yet.
"I was in Sam's room." I admitted.
Aiden laughed, "Yeah, I figured that much. That doesn't tell me WHY you were in there."
"Okay. That story Sam told at dinner about how we met; it was a lie."
"Duh, I know you don't talk to guidance counselors." He said, cocking an eyebrow while crossing his arms.
"Point taken, Aiden. We met at Elizabeth's party. I was trying to find you and we bumped into each other. Both of us had a shit night, so we drank together. I was concerned about what was in that drink because I don't remember what happened between us. I thought we had sex."
"Oh shit, Adi!" Aiden squealed. "I suspected something happened, but not that you fucked our stepbrother!"
"Will you shut up!" I have not fucked anyone, thank you! I was scared about the possibility of it because I could not remember anything. I woke up after 5:00a.m. in his bed, half dressed. The last thing we expected was to see each other here or ever again. I needed answers about what happened, so he told me to meet him."
I broke most of the story down for Aiden, merely leaving the parts about Craig and my bloody clothes out. He was shocked, but also respected Sam a lot more now. Aiden knew, as well as I did, that my night with Sam could have ended worse. I could have been raped or murdered, but instead I was well taken care of.
It was starting to get late. So, Aiden went back to his room. I sat on my bed for a bit thinking about Sam. I know I am starting to grow deeper feelings for him. There is just something about Sam that I cannot put my finger on, besides him being gorgeous. He is bold, confident, and caring. I need to get him out of my head, before I fall in deeper, unable to get out. .
All I need is a good distraction. I do not have much time away from Sam, so that could be a key component to moving on. School would be starting back, in two days. Spring Break is finally coming to an end. There are plenty of fish in that cesspool of a sea for me to choose from.
