Chapter 34: Ending & Everlasting

***1 year later***

Alli's POV

I sat out on the veranda that looked over the front of the school's campus. The past year has been overall hectic, so many things. So let me catch you guys up.

Well first of all, ever since Shane and I finally got together, we went to his family and he introduced me as his real girlfriend. Not only were his ecstatic, his parents accepted me which made me happy. But of course, I couldn't forget about my family.

But since my parents had been at rehab, it would've had to wait, but I managed to introduce him to my second family which was Ava's family. Bring the protective mother figure Ava's mom was to me, she gave him the full interrogation which entertained me, Ava, and her sisters a lot.

Not to forget Ava, ever since Shane and I have been together, honestly I haven't spent that Much time with her. I mean she will always be my favorite person no matter what, but she understands that Shane means a lot to me. And besides I think she's forgotten about me. Since Shane and I have been dating, Jordi and Ava have been left out. So as a joke they decided to go on a date to make us jealous and it was kinda like a joke date, but Jordi fell for Ava and they've been dating for almost 7 months now. I must admit though, they might be cuter than us.

Of course another thing that made this past year stressful was Ryan's charges for domestic violence. The case took 4 months to settle and emotional. Heather and I have been sad, angry, and confused. At times I wanted to just forget about the case, but Shane stood by me the whole time and helped us through it. Eventually, Ryan was convicted for only 4 years with a 10K bail since there was no hard evidence, but being the rich person he was, his parents released him on bail and right now is currently doing community service. And to protect Heather and I, the judge ordered a restraining order against him, staying he can't come within 100 feet of us. It was especially hard for Heather since she loved him so much. Speaking of Heather, we are friends. Not best friends, but friends.

Now that my parents are out of rehab, they've been sober for a couple months now and we are fixing up or relationship. They want to make-up for three years they missed and I've decided to let them because I know this is what Auarin would've wanted and he'd be proud of me.

Now about my major, I've decided to stick with graphic design because there's are some creative careers in the outcome so I decided to stick with it. And I'm minoring in psychology because how people think interests me. Shane is still majoring in psychology with a minor in interior design since his parents want him and his sisters to take over the business. And he has a pretty good sense of style.

I continued to reminisce my year looking out at the view, until I noticed something shiny cross my view. I looked down at it and noticed it was the anchor necklace Shane hag given to me on our ' fake anniversary' date. It rested on my collar bone, it seemed more dainty and fragile then when I once had it.

"Just like this anchor I'm not going anywhere." Shane whispered wrapping his arms around my waist from behind. "I love you." He muttered in my ear.

I turned around to face him. He really needs to shave. I pulled him close to me until our foreheads touched and smiled, "Love you more." I whispered watching as he smirked before leaving into kiss me. I loved feeling him smile between our kisses, made the kiss seem more meaningful.

He released and stood back looking at me. "We better finish packing. Our apartment isn't going to unpack itself." He said kissing the top of my forehead and walking back inside as I followed.

Yes, we moved on to our own apartment for second year of college. We thought it'd be a good idea since it'll be closer to the school and we'd thought we see how much fun it would be to see if we can put up with each other. I'm sure we can, since we loved each other.

I just hope this apartment is big enough for the both of us.
