I sat out side on the sidewalk. You know when people say Fridays are the best. They are very fucking boring. People don't know what they are talking about. Dalilah is in the house with Mr "rich man". I don't understand why she finds him so charming. Its disgusting really.

I pulled out my pocket knife that I keep in handy for emergencies. Even though Dalilah might yell at me for having a weapon. Opening it then closing it repeatingly, I was just bored out of my mind.

I saw a shadow tower over me. When I look up it was a boy that looked a bit older than me, he held a nicely designed skateboard. He had dirty blonde hair, freckles all across his face. He wore a plain black tee with light brown shorts. He smiles at me and I lean back in an awkward way. "Can I help you?"

The boy sat down in front of me, and shook my hand "I'm Adam. I live down that street." He pointed.

I nodded, narrowed my eyebrows "nice to meet you?"

Adam waited. "What are you doing outside alone?"

I shrug. "Waiting..."

The boy moved next to me, setting his skateboard down. "Waiting for what?"

"My foster mother to be done chatting." I said. Picking up a stick and poking the asfalt road.

Adam looks over to my home and then back at me. "Sorry dude."

I just shrugged. "My names Brady by the way." I smirked, pulling out my cell phone. Adam smiled at the sound of my name.

"Very nice." Was all he said.

We waited and waited. Nothing to talk about. Adam looks at the time on his watch and told me he had to get home. So we exchanged numbers and like that, he left. I finally saw that Mr. Winston guy leave my home. I rushed inside to see Dalilah humming while doing dishes.

I pet my dogs head before heading upstairs to my room. I did my homework, but was to tired to finish it. I passed out onto my desk and didn't wake up till morning.

School was a bore, like everyday. The only exciting part about it, is getting an half an hour lunch break. I found Adam with a group of boys. They stood around laughing and chatting away. I decided to join them.

"Hey dude. What's happening?" Adam smiled.

I chuckled "nothing really."

Adam hung his arm around my neck and pointed to the other boys. "Brady. I'd like ya to meet Jeremiah and Dennis."

I waved at them awkwardly and they waved back.

"Hey. I'm having a small get together at the park on Tuesday. Care to join?" He asked me.

I thought about it for a few moments. "Sure why not." I agreed

Everyone cheered. I laughed along but then stopped for a brief second. Payton walked passed me with another friend. We connected eyes and I felt something. But she probably didn't. But I felt something. It was a special feeling sort of thing.

Once adam caught me eyeballing her he elbows me. "Yo. Dat your girl?" He slanged.

My eyes widen and I shook my head rapidly. "What!? No way."

He raised one eyebrow. "Not yet. Am I right!" He laughed as he playfully slaped Jeremiah's chest. They all laughed, as my cheeks grew red. That was a little embarrassing.

Payton stood alone. Like she was waiting for someone, so I slowly ditched the guys and walked towards her.

"Sorry don't mean to intrude." I smiled.

She gasps and smiles. "Hi there."

I smiled at her and she smiled back. I felt happy, and that was a good feeling.
