I walked around the streets with jeramiah. The whole time it was silence, until we met up with Jeremiah's girlfriend, Willow. She's a pretty cool gal. Her head was half shaved, her lips with two piercings on one side, her eyes the color of the sky on a clear day. I had a crush on her for a while, but then I met Cassandra, and yeah. But that didn't end very well.
"Hey baby!" Willow cheered as she wrapped her arms around his neck. I stood there awkwardly like every third wheel.
Jeramiah smiles and hugs her. I cleared my throat, as they lean their attention to me. "Can we like go to a park or something? I don't wanna watch you guys have babies here..." I looked at the sky.
Willow laughed and wrapped one arm around my neck. "Of course!"
So we sat at the park. I lite my cigarette as I watch Jeremiah and his girlfriend take selfies. I rolled my eyes at the sight, blowing smoke through my nostrals and mouth. I felt my butt buzz, pulling out my phone, it was a message from Cassie. It says >Where the heck are you? We have a project to present today in history!< I sighed.
>why do you care? You can do it yourself anyways.< I replied back, placing my phone back into my pocket. Not even a few minutes after, it buzzes again.
>Brady this is half your grade! I care bout you!<
I bit my top lip and think of a way to reply. >I'm sorry, did you forget that you broke up with me?<
>Well yeah, but that doesn't mean I have to stop caring.<
"Who you texting?" Willow towers over me. My face flush red as I feel her chest press against my back.
"Uhh no one." I covered my screen as I turn towards them.
Willow laughed. "You texting your girlfriend?" She playfully punches my forearm. Jeremiah hugged Willow from behind.
"He doesn't have one. They broke up." He kisses her neck.
Willow covers her mouth after hearing that, my face sunk down closer to my shoulders. Like I wasn't already in a poopy mood. I then text Cassie back. >I'm at the Richardson Park, Skipping.<
My phone buzzed. >WHAT? Why are you skipping? You have been telling my you were sick!<
Taking a big heavy sigh. >well I lie. There ya go.<
I didn't get a reply back. After I finished my cigarette, I joined in willows Photogenic addiction. Taking selfies together and such.
It has been weeks. Third trimester is almost over and finals are coming up. This is gonna kill me, literally. I've been depressed lately, being ignored, not included, lonely. Dalilah and Chales have been going on trip and leaving me home. My friends are leaving me, going to a different school. Cassie is giving me shit for skipping. Payton have been flirting with me non-stop. My head is about to explode.
My parents, are mostly the cause of me cutting, I have none. I don't even know why. The voices in my head are getting stronger. It doesn't help with any of the shit I'm going through.
Delilah's wedding is in a few hours, this has gotta be fun. I am happy for Dalilah, really I am. Its just, she could've talk to me about it before anything. After all, I am kind of her god-son.
"Again? With the bows?" I struggled to tighten it around my neck.
She snickered. "Oh darling, you pull it off very well." Dalilah says, gelling my hair up a bit.
I rolled my eyes. "Dalilah, I'm 17 I can fix my own hair."
She smiled. "Alright. Can you roll up your sleeves please. Or do I have to do it for you?" She giggles.
My face turned pale. "My-My sleeves?" I said confusingly.
"Of course silly. I want you to make a good impression." She raises up my chin.
I crossed my arms and rubbed my forearms. "You know. Its a bit chilly today..." I nervously chuckled.
"Honey. Its the end of spring and its about 78° outside. Your fine." her arms over her chest. She then reached down to roll up my sleeves.
I quickly pull my arm away before she reached above my wrist. "Can't I just have them down?" I complained.
She gave me a look, I don't know what it is, but I don't like it. "Fine, but you are gonna wear this with your button up." She held up a black vest with a red rose clipped to the pocket.
"Oh dear god... Fine, fine!" I grab it and slip it over my white button up.
"Perfect!" She squeeled. "Okay darling, please go to the church and you know where to stand right?"
I licked my dried lips " of course Dalilah." I said before leaving her dressing room.
While walking down the halls, I looked at the pictures on the walls. Jesus, jesus, jesus, cross, cross. It wasn't to interesting but I didn't bother. I then walk into the big room with a bunch of booths, I forgot what it was called, but it was a big room. Covered in red flowers, streamers and bells. Walking further into it, I look around and I see a girl talking to one of her friends. Her haired pulled up, she wore a light pink dress with a giant bow on the back. I didn't see her face, but I thought I'd introduce myself.
"Hey. I'm Brady, I really like your dress." I smiled, placing my hands behind my back.
"Brady?" I heard a familiar voice.
Oh dear god. I thought to myself as I saw the girl turn around. Sure enough, it was Payton. Great!
"Oh my gosh!" She giggled as she hugged my around the neck tightly.
I started gasping for air. "Kind... Of... Can't.... Air!" She then let's go. Pushing a strand of her hair behind her ear.
"I missed you cutie!" She smiled.
I fixed my bow tie. "First of all, don't call me that. And second of all why are you here?" I asked, confused. Standing straight.
She looked around. "Well I'm here for the wedding."
I faced palm. "Well no shit."
She giggled. "Yeah my fathers getting married for the second time." She smiled, looking at her friend leaving.
My eyes widen as I heard the word... "FATHER?" I then look at Charles in a tux, standing on the stage.
She stepped a bit closer, but I didn't notice. "Yeah. Why are you here?"
"My God-Mother is getting married to your father." I looked down.
When I looked up, I saw Payton's face brighten up. "Oh my gosh! We are gonna be siblings?!" She hugged me around my torso.
"Let go..." I stood stiffly, as she departed from me.
I started pacing, back and forth.
What am I gonna do now? There's no way I could get away from her now. If she catches me smoking, she's gonna snitch on me! Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.
"Okay look" I said facing her. "There is nothing between us, just friends. We are nothing more, nothing less. Capiche?" I folded my hands together.
She nodded her head. "Capoche." She said, smiling.
I just rolled my eyes as I exited the room.
