"Hey Cassie...." I smiled. She was reading a book in the library. I sat across from her. Trying to start a conversation. She didn't look up at all but she spoke.

"Good morning Brady" I could see her smiles from the corner of my eyes.

I stretched out the collar of my tee shirt and swallowed my breath nervously. "So there's a dance coming up in a few months..."

She places her bookmark in her book and placed full attention on me. My face turned even more redder than it was. I had trouble speaking.

"I... I..." I look away and held my breath.

I could feel her looking away in awkwardness "well?" She said.

I sighed. Never knew it was this hard to ask a freaking girl out!

"Doyouwannagotothedancewithme?" I said quickly and hesitantly. Closing my eyes, preparing for rejection.

When I opened on eyes she was biting the tip of her finger and nods "sure. Why the hell not." My face blushed and I hop in excitement.

The librarian then tells me to shush. So I settle down in a seat across from Cassie.

"Alright class. Please settle down" Mr, niel. Said dully.

Its been 1 month since I asked Cassie out. The dance was exactly 3 weeks away. I haven't even gotten a bow tie and shoes to go along with my tux.

I was writing in my journal, writing down notes for the upcoming test in English 2B. Shakespeare is a bitch.

I then hear the teacher talk again, but I assumed it wasn't anything important. I didn't bother looking up and paying any attention. I then felt I tap on my left shoulder, I look over and drop my pencil in shock.

"Hey stranger"

"P-Payton!?" I stuttered as my face turned red.

She smiled and brought her shoulders to her pink cheeks "that's me!"

My eyes then drift away in awkwardness. "What-what are you doing here?" I ask nervously. Slowlying picking up my pencil off the ground.

"What am I not aloud to be here?" She narrows her eyebrows.

"No no no... I was just curious. Since you were in London and all."

She bites the inside of her lip. "Came home because I can."

I didn't really understood her so call "logical" answer. So I just rolled with it. The whole period, we caught up with each other. I totally forgot about my notes. But I'm sure I'll pass, how hard could it be right?

Cassie and I stood next to each other, waiting for the bus. Cassie was talking about the new pet turtle that she got for her birthday. I smiled until I heard a familiar voice.

"OH! BRADY!!" She yelled.

I brought my head down to my shoulders and sighed, closing my eyes. "Hey Payton."

She stood extremely close to me, cassie gave me a strange look. "Who's this?" Payton asked cheerfully.

Cassie rolled her eyes. "I'm his girlfriend." She said. Pulling me away from payton.

My face flushed deep pink. Whoa... Girlfriend? Sweeeettt.

Payton narrowed her eyebrows and quirked her lips. "Well sorry to intrude." She flicked her hands up and walked away.

I rubbed the back of my head and smirked "thanks Cass."

She smiled and slipped her finger in between mine "no problem. No slut gonna get my man..." She growled.

For some reason... I found that sexy and a turn on. Damn... Territorial women.

Dalilah tied the bow around my neck all fancy like, she dusted off my shoulders and took a step back to admire me.

"Oh my baby." She smiled, than hugged me.

I groaned "Dalilah! I'm not a baby!" I tried pushing her off.

"I know dear, I know." She wiped a fake tear off from under her eye. As I left the door.

Waiting for Cassie to come outside of her home. I checked my hair in the side mirrors of the car.

In the reflection I see a beautiful girl in a sparkling blue dress, it went to her knees and had no sleeves. Her hair was in a messy bun with strands of hair pulled out. I have never seen anyone this pretty in my whole entire life.

I was to stunned to say anything to her, as she walked closer to me. "Hey handsome." She smiled.

I blinked a few times "good evening beautiful." I smirked. Opening the right car door for her. She got in delicately. After I close the door I walked around and got in on the other side.

Dalilah didn't say anything to us, she just drove to the school.
