Chapter Seventeen

I got into my room and locked the door behind me, I sat on my bed and began to cry
Why am I always unlucky with love... My Phone began to ring, I picked it up, It was my mom, I quickly stood up and wiped my tears

" Hey Mom, It's been awhile" " Awhile? You last called months ago" "Sorry Mom, I've really been busy in school and I've been studying for my exams too" "Okay I know you've been studying hard, so there's another question " "What's that Mom " " Have you gotten a boyfriend?" "Not really" " Okay, I've got to go now, I'll send some money to your account " "Okay Mom, talk to you later "

I hung up and dropped my phone beside me,
I ran my fingers through my hair "Uhh"

The next morning I woke up but I decided to stay in bed because I didn't know how to face Devon, I stayed in bed for a long time with my Phone, after some minutes I got up and had my shower, I then dressed up and stayed back in bed, I was with my phone and then I heard a horn...Seems like Devon's back, but he doesn't go to work by this time

I then heard a feminine voice, I got up and headed downstairs, I saw Devon and a Lady at the door, I hid behind a pillar and watched them..."Oh you're here" Devon says "Of course I am" The lady hugged Devon

Get your hands off him, he's mine
" You can stay in the guest room " Devon said
The lady then kept her hands on Devon's chest " But why, I can stay in your room "

I couldn't stand her being close to Devon, I quickly walked up to them " Hey Devon "
Devon turned to me " Oh yeah, Jen, meet Charlene, she's staying her for a month "
Charlene held Devon's hand and looked at me from up to down " Who's She?"

" She's Jen" Devon said " What's her status? Is she a minister's daughter or what?"
" She just a commoner, Anyways your room is upstairs to your left" I felt bad hearing Devon call me a commoner but that is what I am...

Charlene took her bags and went upstairs
" What are you still doing here?" Devon asked with a brow up "Umm I was just about to leave
"Uh-huh, I'll soon be leaving, see you later "
I held Devon's hand " Can we hang out when you're back?" " I'll think about that, I have to leave now "

Devon left and I was left with  Charlene
" Why don't i check up on her it would be rude not to" I went up to her room and knocked
She opened up " What do you want ?" She says with her arms crossed and a brow up
" Are you here to tell me to back up from Devon? Well that's not going to work, he's mine " "Woah, I only came to welcome you"

Charlene eyed at me " Get out" " Umm You don't have to be rude " " Who are you to tell me what not to do, I'm in my boyfriend's house and I have the right to talk the way I want"
" You guys are not dating, he broke up with you a long time ago"

Charlene started laughing " You're so funny, yes we did break up but we got back weeks ago" " What? He didn't tell me" " Who are you to be told about Devon's private life, now leave

I left Charlene's room and went back to my room, I locked my door and sat on my bed
So that's why...She's the reason why Devon rejected me...Why am I so stupid, Devon played me, if not for the baby it would have been a one-night stand...Why on earth did I develop feelings for him, I can't go on with this, I must teach him a lesson

I felt sad but at the same time I felt angry because Devon used me for sex...which accidentally resulted me getting pregnant...anyways I'm gonna make him want me

Devon got back pretty late, he showered and went down to the kitchen, I noticed he went down there so I followed him, He was with a glass cup filled with red wine, I went towards the fridge, Devon looked at me with the glass in his hand "You hungry?" he said...

I ignored him and brought out Orange Drink and poured in a cup " Guess you're not" he said before sipping his wine, I say on the counter, dropped my cup and started packing my hair, I noticed Devon looking at me, so to prevent any further conversation I brought out my phone...

" It's getting hot here should I turn on the Air Conditioner?" I ignored him again and kept my eyes on my phone, Devon dropped his glass and walked to me, We were so close

" Is something wrong?" He bent down a little and looked up at me " Huh?" He looked so  cçcute from my view, I wanted to kiss him so bad but I had to continue what I started, I took my drink, got down and walked towards the door
but Devon held my hand

Yes, he's going to ask me to get back with him " Here's your phone " "Huh?" He raised a brow up " Your Phone " "Oh right" I grabbed my phone and headed to my room

Gosh! It didn't work, I have to try something else I said as I closed the door behind me
What will I do now? I said and then hit the shower and laid in my bed

The next morning, I got up, showered and went downstairs, I went to the lounge and saw Devon on a seat with a cup of coffee while Charlene was on his left hand side talking to him

"Hey-" I said remembering what I started
I have to continue from where I stopped
I walked up to Devon and brought out my hand
" I need your car keys" Devon looked up at me and Charlene stopped talking and raised up a brow "Can't you see we were in a conversation? where are your manners?"

" Don't care, I need your keys" "You know if you wanna leave the house, you have Mr. Valdez" " I know, I wanna drive my self"
" Ask for his car keys not my private car "
" I want yours" Charlene gets up quickly
" Uhh Can you let my boyfriend and I be?"

" It's fine" Devon says "It's in the Key drawer beside my bed " Sure, I'll go by myself since I asked for us to hangout and get no response"
" Oh yeah, about that, it's not gonna happen, my schedule is tight...anyways, have fun"

Hm...have fun, yesterday I asked for us to hang out and you said you'd think about that but if it was Charlene that asked you you would quickly accept  I muttered as I went to his room and collected his key, I looked at the key It was a Rolls-Royce key

I've never driven a Rolls-Royce, what do I do now...Yes, I'll drop the key and sneak to
Mr. Valdez 

I did that successfully and went to the mall, the mall was huge, well I didn't care ask long as I had Devon's black card, I started picking some clothes, after some minutes, I heard a familiar voice " You?" I said as I turned to check out the voice...It was Andre Black
