Chapter Sixteen

The next morning, I got out of my bed and went to shower room, I looked at my self in the mirror, I noticed some thing different about my neck, I had bruises all over my neck, I wasn't surprised because Devon almost Strangled me to death out of anger

" Ah...It hurts, I have to apply some cream on it

After showering, I dressed up, carried my luggages, and Went down, I looked around and didn't find Devon in the sitting room so, I asked one of the workers where he was...

" Oh...he's at the garden Okay" I went to the Garden, Devon was sitting on a seat enjoying the fresh air, I went towards him

" Hey " Devon turns to look at me from my toes to my head which really made me uncomfortable, he ignores me and faces forward, I dropped my bags on the ground
" Devon, I leaving now " He still ignores me

I sighed, walked up to him and sat on a seat in front of him..." Look Devon, I know I have been a shitty person, I'm sorry for coming into your life, you're just out of my league...I really really like you Devon It's okay if you don't like me back after what I did to you, I truly am sorry for hurting your feelings, I'm sorry for depriving you of being a father...I guess now's the time to leave, It was nice meeting you "

I stood up and tried to leave but Devon held my hands and stood up, he looked down to my neck and slowly touched it " It was from last night right?" I nodded then he quickly hugged me which made me confused, Wasn't he annoyed with me?

" Sorry, I couldn't control my anger, it hurts right?" I nodded " Have you applied some cream on it?"..."Yes, Ihave to go now"
" You don't have to, you can stay"
" Are you serious?" Smiles "Yes"

" Does that mean that You back in love with me?" I say smiling, he moves away from me
" You should go and unpack now" "You don't like me anymore?" Devon Sighs and leaves
" Guess now is not the right time for love"

I went back to my room and unpacked my clothes, I turned on the Tv but there was nothing good so I got out of my room and went towards Devon's room, I knocked but he didn't 
respond to knock so I got in my self

I got in and I saw Devon on his bed sleeping, I walked to the bed and slowly sat down beside him, I looked closely, he was very handsome while asleep, he has such a light and smooth skin, I looked down to his perfect lips, they looked so soft, I bit my lips and leaned in

Devon suddenly opens his eyes and he looked confused "What are you doing?" I quickly moved back "I...I uh umm" Devon sits up and crosses his arms " I'm listening..." "I..I came to tell you..that umm...I need some food to eat"
" If you were hungry you would have called for Meghan, Does my room look like a kitchen to you?" " Ummm..." "Backup Why are you so close to me?" " Sorry " I got out of the bed and  headed to the door

" Wait!" I turned " Pass me my Phone over there " He points to his left, I got his phone and walked towards him, I tripped and fell on him and our lips suppressed against each other, I knew it was a mistake but I didn't want to break the kiss because I've always wanted it but Devon didn't seem to like it, he slowly pushed me away

"Sorry" I say looking down with his phone in my hand, he grabbed his phone " It's alright, you can leave now " I stood still, my body didn't want to leave, I just stood there watching him, Devon looks at me from my toe up to my head " Miss. Carson, what are you still doing here? You have a room right?"

I kept on watching him, I wanted to move but my body couldn't, Devon dropped his phone and stood up, his height really intimidated me, he held my hand "Let me help you" He moved me to the door " Bye" he shut the door at my face " What's with him, I only came to spend time him....hm At least I got a kiss "

I turned and went back to my room, I thought to myself I'm not pregnant anymore, that means I  get to tour around London and Devon won't do a shit about it

I went back to Devon's room and knocked, he opened the door and stood in front of me with his arms crossed " What's it again "
" I want a car" "What's it to me?" " I'm your guest, I want a car to tour London "
" If you want a car, meet Mr. Valdez " He says and then shuts the door " Hm"

I went to Mr. Valdez and went out to explore, I felt so good being out of the house, I went to many places, when I got back to the house, I went straight to my room and had shower

I dressed up and and got out of my room, I went to Devon's room to tell him about so much fun I had, I knocked at his door, It took some time before he opened up

" Devon, I had so much fun— Devon brought up his index finger " Give me a minute"  He said while on a call, he then walked back to his room and stayed beside the window, I walked in and closed the door behind me, i then sat on a seat and waited for him to end his call

" Okay, so you're staying for a month in London...Sure, you can stay at my place...So when are you arriving...Tomorrow..oh okay, I'll send a chauffeur for you when you arrive, Okay see you then" Devon dropped his phone on the table and turned to me with his back on the window and his hands in his pockets

" Is there something important ?" He said, I stood up smiling and walked up to him " I had so much fun, and Mr. Valdez was also funny too, I never knew London was this great— Devon interrupted me " Jennifer, Is there something important?"

" I came into your room to tell you how my tour went and you interrupt me asking What's Important?" Devon didn't say anything he kept on looking at me..." What is wrong with you Devon, you've been acting weird towards me ever since I came to London "

Devon looked at his wrist watch," I'm listening"
To be honest, Devon changed, I understand that he's angry about my actions but that doesn't mean he gets to be so bitchy
" Can you stop this attitude,...Is it about the baby? I already apologised"

Devon moved to his bed and sat at the edge of his bed " Look, let's forget about the baby, what's done Is done, you aborted it and I don't think I should keep a grudge because it's hard being pregnant and still being a student, the attitude people give you is unjust, some pregnant students commit suicide because of the unjust treatment given to them, I think for you to abort the kid means that you must have passed through this, It's okay...I forgive you"

I felt so happy and relieved hearing that from Devon " Thanks for understanding me Devon
So does this mean that we can stand over? Together?" Devon kept his palm on his forehead " I wasn't done talking " 

My smile faded as I heard him " I forgive you but that doesn't mean we get to get back together, you've hurt me enough and i don't want to go through that path again, I'm only letting you stay here because you've come a long way here...I don't love you anymore Jen"

I was in shock, what he said kept ringing in my head, When I love him, he doesn't love me back? Tears ran through my cheeks
" But I love you Devon " Devon sighed
" It's too late Jen, I can't love you back anymore "

I was so heartbroken by his words
" You can leave now" he says " Sorry for...Sorry for telling you how I feel, I see my feelings are unnecessary, I'll try my best to control my feelings for you, I'll leave now "

I turned and went back to my room...
