Chapter Eleven

Zuko sighed as he was sitting on a chair in Estella's room waiting for her to wake up. He was looking at her face as it looked extremely peaceful. The door knocked.
"Come in," Zuko grumbles as it opened.
He didn't bother turning around to see who it was as it closed back shut.
"How is she?" The sound of Iroh's voice came through as Zuko frowned.
"I'm not sure Uncle. I hope she's okay. It's my fault she got like this, Zhao's right, I really can't protect the one woman I care most about,"
Uncle placed a hand on Zuko's shoulder.
"You were both equally surprised and didn't know what was going to happen. You do a great job of protecting her my nephew, you are both strong but don't know how much power the Avatar holds,"
Zuko sighs but Estella begins to wake up as she flopped open her eyes.
"Estella!" Zuko exclaims as she coughed while trying to sit up.
"Zuzu, Uncle? What happened?"
"The avatar knocked you into a burning building but I saved you just before it collapsed. You've been out for awhile, how are you feeling?"
"I'm alright. Thank you for saving me,"
"Always," he says before leaning down and kissing her on the lips.
"I'm glad your doing okay Estella. I brought you a nice cup of hot tea,"
Estella smiled greatly before taking the cup from him.
"Thank you Uncle, I much appreciate it,"
"What I don't get one?" Zuko asked while crossing his arms.
Iroh chuckled.
"Nonsense Nephew, I brought you one too," Iroh says while bringing his cup.
"Oh, thank you,"
"I'll leave you two alone. Whenever your ready come play Pai Sho with me,"
"Of course Uncle," Estella says smiling before he left.
The two drank the tea in silence before they finished as they set the tea down. Zuko sighed.
"What's wrong?"
"Why are other boys in love with you the moment they see you?" Zuko asks while frowning.
Estella blinked, as she was taken by surprise at the question.
"Oh, you mean Aang and Sokka?"
"Yeah, they totally made googlie eyes at you and I didn't like it,"
Estella giggled softly at him.
"Zuko your adorable, if you honestly think I have any feelings towards those guys your wrong my only eyes are set for you,"
"Why? Why do you love me?"
Estella cocked her head to the side.
"What's not to love about you Zuko? Sure you may be a temperamental hot head but, I love you for who your are. You may act tough around others but to me you are the most sweetest person I've ever known even if you hate showing compassion to other people. You've always shown it to me, your brave, sweet, kind and protective. I love you Zuko I've always had," Estella finished as Zuko was blushing like mad.
"I love you too Estella, always remember that," he says as he smiles.
"Now it's your turn. I knew my sister had a crush on you, why didn't you go for her before we got banished?"
"Correction, before I got banished you just went with me. But I love you because of who you are, you maybe annoying at times but your gentle, soft, sweet, funny, adorable and deadly all at once. I wouldn't change a thing about you. And I've never had a thing for Mai I've always had a thing for you," he says climbing in the bed with her.
"So, your telling me we could have been together this whole time?"
He laughed.
"I didn't want to ruin our friendship that we had if you didn't feel the same about me,"
Estella laughed this time.
"I felt the same way," she giggled as Zuko had pushed her down on the bed with him on top.
"I love you Estella, I love you a lot. I'm glad you didn't go with Zhao,"
"I wouldn't go with him anyways. I told you I'm not leaving your side,"
"You better not, but I want to try something," he says as he was blushing really hard.
"Oh you mean-"
"Umm.... yeah if you want to i don't want to force you into anything if you don't-"
Zuko's sentence was cut short when his mouth was occupied with her own before she pulled away.
"I'd love to Prince Zuko,"
He gently laid her back on the bed as his lips had moved against hers.
