(Oba's POV)

... Few months before...

Ise and I were currently playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla on X-box in my room when Àbeke knocked on the door.

"Come in"

"Mummy say make I call you come chop. Food don ready"   she said with her local dialect which is always funny.

"Okay, tell her we will be there shortly."

" Okay, Uncle Ise"   she said all smiles.

Àbeke is one of Aunty T.Y's domestic staff. She is the house maid to be precise. From what I overheard, Àbeke likes Ise like mad. Ise, the unrepentant Casanova that he is loves leading her on, I am sure we all know where this will end for Àbeke right? I just pity the girl.

Ise suddenly squealed in excitement. Shit, he has won. I have totally forgotten I was having a match.

"Uncle, you don win."  Àbeke said

"Wait, what are you still doing here? Are you not meant to have gone?" I asked her.

" Ehhn, I was waiting for Uncle Ise. I wan know if he wants anything"   she stuttered.

" I don't want anything o. Oya, be going"

" Uncle Ise, I should be going abi"

" Yes, he said you should go".

Àbeke can be a case sometimes.

" Uncle Ise, na your best food we prepare o. I dey go already. Shey, make I tell Mummy sey you dey come"

" Just go".   I was getting annoyed already.

" I dey go o, boda Oba. Uncle Ise, bye bye".   She finally left the room

"Bye bye".    Ise replied admist laughter.

" Olosho ni é."

" Leave that side jhur, It feels so good beating you. See, the way you were transferring aggression to that poor girl."

" Shut up jhur, you won only because I let you".

" That's what Loser's say"   he ran out of the room just as I was about to throw my shoes at him.

"Good evening, Aunty".   I greeted Aunty T.Y

"Bawo ni?, Iseoluwa da?"   She asked me as I took my seat opposite Lola, he is sitting beside his mum at the dinning table.

"He left the room before me, ma."   I replied her.

Speak of the devil, then he appears. Iseoluwa strolled in with a smiling Àbeke. Lola and I shook our head.

"Good evening mum"

"Why are you just coming?"

"Àbeke needed assistance with carrying the food so I went to help her"

" Naso"   Lola muttered under his breath.

Iseoluwa took his seat beside me. There's no particular sitting arrangements on the dining table except when everyone was around. Uncle T.J seats at the head of the table, Aunty T. Y sits directly at by his right-hand side of the table. While, brother Ire sits opposite Aunty T.Y .  The rest of us sit anywhere on the table.

"Your dad is coming this weekend"   Aunty T.Y announced

" Finally, I will change my phone"   Lola said.

" Which phone? Don't go and read your books. No new phone until you are done with your WAEC Exam"

" But mummy"

" No but's, manage till after your exams"

" Okay ma" he said sadly

" Both of you, what are your plans for this period o?"

" We will use this period to flex and ball like mad"   Ise responded and I laughed

" Will you keep quiet? Talk like the responsible son I raised. See mouth like we will use this period to flex and ball like mad"   she mimicked Ise.

We laughed so hard because it was funny and she said it exactly how he said it.

"Aunty, we will figure something out. I promise you it will be very productive."   I spoke.

" Ehn ehn, that's what I want to hear."

Dinner continued in a comfortable silence. The table was cleared in no time.  After dinner, we had our night devotion before Aunty T.Y returned to her room. After watching Elevator baby on Netflix, we all retired to our rooms.

As I was about to enter my room, I looked at the door of the room opposite mine again like I do every night since I discovered the mystery.
