With tear filled eyes, Hawks laid next to his dead friend.
He took out a feather, feeling it harden in his hand.
"I won't let you go alone any longer," the hero whispered.
And with that, he drove the feather through his heart.
He was vaguely aware of his body convulsing.
The last thing he saw was the brand new star twinkling up above.
And then everything went black.
When he opened his eyes, he was in a field of red and blue flowers.
All around him was calm and peaceful.
Where?
"You came after me?"
Hawks looked up to see Dabi standing in front of him with wide blue eyes.
The hero could only nod, his breath catching in his throat.
Wordlessly, he approached the villain, wrapping him into a tight hug.
After a moment, the hug was returned.
"But why?"
"Because I love you."
"I love you too."
