Min Yoongi

"Yoongi, you can't just attack every drunk idiot that hits on Soomi," Hoseok chided, referring to the previous night's events. I looked away from the pot of soup in front of me and over to him, Jungkook, and Jimin sitting on the couch.

"Oh, I know that, or else I'd be kicking your ass on a daily basis," I snapped.

"Hey, I am neither drunk nor an idiot."

"I beg to disagree on the latter."

Jungkook audibly attempted to stifle a laugh as I continued speaking.

"Besides, I have to be careful because we have no clue who the real culprit is. And whose fault might that be?"

"Trust me, if you were in charge of the investigation, you'd understand this isn't my fault," Hoseok defended.

"Mmmhm, sure."

"Fine. I'm heading out to investigate."

"Wait, don't forget you have to be at Soomi's recording studio later," I reminded him as he was almost out the door. He simply grunted in response, clearly in a bad mood.

"Oh, and Hoseok, I could put in a few more hours investigating with you whenever I'm not busy," Jungkook offered.

"No thanks. I'd rather not work with you two any more than necessary," Hoseok said before slamming the door shut.

"Man, what a bitch," Jungkook muttered. "He complains about the work, so what do I do? Offer help, but nooo working with me is too awful to even think about."

Jimin lightly chuckled as I proceeded to taste the soup.

It's perfect.

"Hey Jimin, could you give Soomi some of this later? It's for her hangover. Oh, and you might have to remind her about work today. She probably doesn't remember."

"Sure, but where are you gonna be?"

"I have some errands to run and, well, you said it's Soomi's birthday tomorrow..." I hoped no other explanation was necessary, but Jimin didn't seem satisfied with my answer. "...so I was thinking of getting her some things."

"No way! Is big, bad Yoongi getting soft?" Jungkook teased.

"Haha, very funny," I deadpanned, "but this isn't a big deal."

"Not a big deal? I never thought I'd see the day Min Yoongi go out of his way to be sweet to another human being."

"I'm not going out of my way for anything. It's in my best interest to cheer her up."

"Excuses, excuses," Jungkook sang.

"I don't know what could possibly cheer her up though," Jimin chimed in, "I mean, I even canceled the big party. She probably won't be up to being around so many people."

"Something small then, some celebration's still in order, don't you think?" Jungkook asked.

"How about you two plan something while I'm out then," I said. The two nodded at me.

"Your little elves are on it, Santa." Jungkook grinned widely.

"Oh, shut up. I'm leaving."

Park Soomi

I groaned in annoyance, throwing a pillow over my head because of the knocking at my door. The sound only amplified the pounding in my head.
