Today was a Saturday and the day my parents passed away. It had been 1 year since her death and it has been really hard for me. My dad passed away 4 years ago on this day. It's weird how they passed away on the same day. My parents were the only ones who loved me without judging me because of my weight. I asked for a day off yesterday and my manager happily allowed me to. I bought 2 bouquets of our favorite flowers, tulips. The both of them had so much in common, their favorite movies, favorite food, favorite flowers and somehow even the same colour. The bouquets I got consisted of two colors, white since it's my favorite color and purple since it was their favorite color. I walked towards their grave that were beside each other and kneeled down, touching the carved letters on the headstone.
"Hey, eomma and appa. I hope you're happy wherever you are. I still cant believe that it's been 4 years since appa and 1 year since eomma left. I miss you both so much and I really wished I could do something to make you both stay longer. You were the only ones who accepted me for who I was and I'm not saying this because you were my parents but you were my best friends as well. I know you're watching over me right now so for the both of you, I'm going to adopt a puppy. I know you guys have always wanted one. Hopefully you guys can tell me which breed and what to name it."
[ Taehyung's POV ]
I was on my way to the pet shop when I saw someone very familiar walking on the footpath. 'Areum!! Wait...what is my baby cheeks doing here? Isnt she supposed to be at work? Wait...Did I just call her mine? She isnt mine........yet.' I saw her holding 2 bouquets of white and purple flowers. 'Did she get it from someone?' I drove slowly, not wanting her to notice me. 'Wow. I'm being really creepy. Is this what it's like to have a crush on someone?' I saw her entering the graveyard. Yes, the pet shop I work at is near a graveyard. It's not as creepy as it sounds.
I decided to go to work, not wanting to scare her. Work was actually calmer than usual. There weren't alot of customers in the shop. I was feeding the fishes when I heard the ding from the bell attached on the doorframe. "Hello! Welcome to-", I turned around and saw her standing there. Oh no. "You? You're the guy from yesterday, right?", she said. "I- yeah. Anyways! Welcome! How may I help you?", I asked and went to her. "Um...I would like to adopt a puppy." "Any specific breed?" "Corgis."
"Follow me.", I said and walked towards the part of the shop where all the dogs were. The moment they saw me, they all started barking. I took a small whistle from my pocket and blew it, making the dogs stop barking. "Good puppers.", I said as their tails started wagging at a really fast pace. I looked at her and saw her smiling at the pups which made me smile. When she looked at me, I immediately looked away, not wanting her to see me blushing. Am I blushing? I dont know. "Are you okay? Your face is turning red...", I heard her say softly. 'Oh god. Save me.'
"Please see which pup you would like to take home with you.", I said and immediately went to get a form. I took a form and pen and went to her. I saw her playing with a corgi. "Hey.", I said. She looked at me and got up while holding the corgi. "You want to adopt her?", I said. She nodded and I told her to follow me. I went to the cash register and kept the form on the table. "Please fill in your details and also the name you want to give her. I'll bring the doggy supplies." "Supplies?" "Her dog food, a bed for her, her chew toys and if you want I can make a personalized collar for her but it takes three days to make it."
