Chapter 6

[ 3rd person POV ]
Days, weeks and months passed, Taehyung and Areum grew closer to each other by all the time they spent in helping Areum lose weight. In these few months a lot of things happened. Areum's clothes size kept on decreasing, she met Taehyung's family a lot of times - times when she was chubby, in the process of losing weight and lost some of her weight - and they treated her as if she was their own daughter. But there was one thing that Areum was not happy about. What was it? Her university. Her university was soon going to become new, showing that the renovation was coming to an end. Because of this she grew scared, scared of what reactions she would get.

Would she get bullied like before or will people act fake to become her friends? Will they remember who she actually was or would they think that she was a new kid? She had nothing to expect from how her university life was going to change. Being a student and having a job that doesnt pay much made it hard for her to buy new clothing that fit her since her old clothing became too big. But Taehyung brought clothes for her by combining his and her salary. Her style never changed though. She still wore clothes that she was comfortable in, no short or revealing clothing like what other girls would wear in university. She started wearing skinny jeans, tshirts, shirts, tops, hoodies, sweatshirts and baggy clothing that she was comfortable in.

She started noticing the facial features she never knew she had. Like her deep dimples, her long lashes, her plump lips that formed the most beautiful smile whenever she was happy, her cute laugh, her chubby cheeks which stayed the same even after losing weight. There was a moment when Taehyung and her encountered her step father who was drunk, trying to snatch her away from Taehyung, she didnt know what would've happened to her if Taehyung hadn't punched him. Sure she should've felt bad considering the fact that the drunk old man was her mom's second husband but she would never forget how he treated her and talked shit about her own mother. The scar that was on her right cheek was given by that drunk old man a few months after her mother passed away.

Taehyung, who never knew about her having a step father, felt bad for her after hearing the news. The fact that her stepfather didnt care about her and her mom made him furious at the thought of someone treating his babycheeks terribly. He promised her that he will protect her at any costs and till now he has kept his promise. He was always there for her, making sure she's fine, making sure she's not hurt. The both of them went to the same gym, him training with her and telling her what all to do. After she lost weight, he would get jealous at guys who would stare her whenever the both of them would be doing a workout but he knew that she was in love with him and only him. Back to Areum, day by day she would get scared as the days of going back to university would come closer. There were 2 things she was curious about, everyone's reaction and Taehyung's surprise.

Taehyung had told her that he had a surprise for her and that she would get to know about it when time comes. Areum used to think that Taehyung might leave her after she lost weight but she got shocked that he stayed with her. She would keep on forgetting how he told her that he loves her for her personality and not her looks or weight and whenever she would be shocked about him still staying with her, her mind would remind her about the day when he uttered those words. None of the words he said have come out to be a lie and he shows her that no matter what happens he'll always love her the way he loved her the day he fell for her. The both of them lived together in Areum's house, paying the rent together, taking the dogs out for a walk together, cleaning the house together, cooking together and having small movie nights on the couch whenever they dont feel like working out.

Taehyung taught her how to love herself, whenever she would call something her flaw he would show her the beauty in it. There wasnt even a day where the couple felt like they weren't meant to be together. Everyday the couple would go for a morning jog, go to the gym since Taehyung didnt have any lectures ( which is what Areum thought ) and ate healthy food to keep their slim figure. The day Areum was scared of was coming closer and soon that day came.
