The end

All that was heard was chatting of students in the hallways because it was their favorite time of the entire day at the university. The Lunch Break. Students meeting up with their groups and going to the cafeteria to eat and talk about how boring or fun the lectures were. In that cafeteria were Taehyung and Areum with their group. Taehyung made a few friends already which was not much expected by the girls since it was his first day. But what can you say, Taehyung is a really friendly guy which makes it really easy for him to make friends. They were sitting in a corner of the cafeteria, eating their lunches and chatting, laughing, joking around. The first day was going great....until a group of girls and guys started flirting with Taehyung and Areum respectively.

The couple ignored them, not wanting to give them any attention to continue their flirting. Areum remembered that she had left something in her locker so she decided to tell her group and went to her locker. While she was busy taking her things, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around and was met with the popular guy of the university, Kim Mingyu. "Yes?", she asked him. "Can I talk to you?", he asked her. "Sure. What's up?", she asked the guy who was smirking to himself on the inside. "Can we go to the rooftop? I want to talk in private.", he said, trying to stop a smirk forming on his face. The girl hesitated but nodded and followed Mingyu to the rooftop. After they reached the rooftop, Areum was pinned to the wall and soon felt Mingyu kissing her. She tried to push him, hit him and basically tried to stop him but he was way more stronger than she was.

Meanwhile, Taehyung was looking at the entrance of the cafeteria, worried about his girlfriend. It had been more than 5 minutes since she had gone to her locker and she hadn't come back yet. Just as he was about to get up, he felt someone holding his hand and dragging him somewhere. He looked at the person in front of him and noticed it was Kim Soojin. "What are you doing!?", he shouted at her. "You cant reject me like that! I'm way better than that ugly girlfriend of yours!", she replied and stepped onto the rooftop. "Now we can be alone, babyboy.", she said and smirked at Taehyung but Taehyung wasnt looking at her. His eyes were fixed on his girlfriend and a guy kissing. Soojin noticed him staring at someone and followed his gaze, spotting Areum making out with a guy. She looked at Taehyung and said, "Aw look. She's already bored of you." But what she didnt notice was Areum trying to push the guy away.

Taehyung ran towards them and pushed the guy away from Areum. He was furious but when he felt his girlfriend's shaking arms wrapping around his waist, her grip tightening every second, sobs and shaky breaths coming out of her mouth, indicating how scared she was....made him forget all the anger. He hugged her back, caressing her hair and whispering sweet things in her ear, trying to calm her down. He held her chin gently and made her look at him. He wiped her tears with his fingers and ran his thumb over her lips gently. He took his napkin and wiped her lips before placing his own on her. That action made Areum giggle into the kiss, thanking god that Taehyung was there to save her.

Taehyung glared at Mingyu who was smirking until his eyes met the deadly ones of Taehyung. Mingyu left the rooftop as soon as possible. Taehyung looked at Soojin who was glaring at Areum who was still sobbing and holding onto Taehyung tightly. "You! You'll never get a chance to be with me! This is exactly the reason why I was never attracted to thin girls!", he said to Soojin - his tone deep and showed the signs of anger -. "What does that mean!?", she shouted. "I hate thin girls! They always think their better than everyone else! Especially you! You clearly see that I have a girlfriend and I'm happy with her but you being a slut just have to flirt with me when I have no interest in you whatsoever! If you keep doing this you'll be known as the slut in the entire university and nobody would want to date you.", he replied.

Soojin gasped and immediately left the rooftop leaving the couple alone. "Are you okay, baby? Did he hurt you or touch you?", Taehyung asked his girlfriend in a tone which was the complete opposite to how he spoke to Soojin. He spoke in a softer tone to his girlfriend who was still trembling a bit due to the past action. "I-I'm f-fine. H-He didn't do a-anything...", she said. "Shhh. Calm down, okay? I'm here. Talk after you've calmed down, okay?", he said and kissed the top of her head. The couple stayed on the rooftop for a while not knowing how many lectures they missed. The couple sat on the rooftop, looking at the scenery and talking. They did receive a lot of calls from their group but they were so busy in talking with each other they forgot that they even had phones. The couple got out of the rooftop when they noticed that all the lectures had come to an end.

They saw their group and immediately went to them. They did receive tons of questions on where they were but they just replied saying they were helping a few teachers which seemed to be really convincing to their group. The group left after giving the couple their bags and the couple made their way to the parking lot. The drive to their shared apartment was a bit quiet but it wasnt awkward. The couple listened to songs on the radio and they spoke a bit here and there but nothing too big. The couple decided to go out on a date so as soon as they reached their shared apartment, the couple freshened up and got changed into comfortable yet classy clothing. Since it was almost time for dinner the couple decided to go to a fancy restaurant.

In the restaurant, the couple had a lot of fun. The both of them always spoke about random stuff and used to wonder how they never ran out of things to talk about. Everyone in the restaurant looked at them, smiling at how strong their bond looked. A lot of people even came up to them, telling them how cute they look together. Kids went running to them because they looked really friendly to them and the couple didnt mind that at all. A woman had asked them how many years they had been together and when the couple replied saying it was only a few months she was shocked. If a couple is being comfortable with each other, people would usually think they have been together for many years so it was shocking to know it had been only a few months to their relationship.

The car ride was again filled with talks. Talks about how sweet the people were, how cute the kids were and of course how amazing the food was. "I can't believe people actually thought we have been together for a lot of years.", Areum said. "I know right? But its expected. When I was 10 years old, I saw a couple who were really comfortable with each other. My parents asked them how long they had been together and they replied saying it was only 3 months.", Taehyung replied. "Wow! That's amazing!", Areum exclaimed. "Of course! And I still remember what they said for them being so comfortable with eachother.", Taehyung said. "What's their secret?", Areum asked. "They were best friends. They used to be best friends and soon they confessed to each other. They thought that it would be awkward but to their surprise they were way more comfortable with eachother than they thought they would be."

"Best friends, huh? So just like us?", Areum asked and looked at him. "Well to be more specific we were acquaintances....or just friends.", Taehyung said. "Of course. But we did start off as friends, right?", Areum asked to which Taehyung just nodded. After that there was silence among the couple but not an awkward one. It was a peaceful silence where you could clearly hear their breathing and soft music playing on the radio. The car stopped at a red signal which finally gave the couple a chance to look at eachother. "Thank you.", Areum said and looked at Taehyung whose eyes were busy staring at her own. "Why?", he asked her, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion. "You wanna know why? Try to guess.", she said. "How am I supposed to guess? I don't know...", he said and pouted. The girl giggled before placing a small kiss on her boyfriend's pouty lips and saying, "For helping me find my Hidden Beauty."
