Chapter 7

[ Areum's POV ]
Scared. That's a word to describe how I'm feeling today. I'm in Taehyung's car with him driving me to my university. I have this habit of playing with my fingers whenever I'm nervous or scared and I guess Taehyung noticed it. "Baby, calm down. Nothing bad will happen.", he said and held my hand while keeping his other hand on the steering wheel. "I know but I'm just scared of what everyone's reaction would be.", I replied. "Well you have your friends with you. Stay with them." "They themselves dont know that I lost weight. EunA was busy with work so even she doesnt know what I look like eventhough we are neighbors."

"Well if they are your true friends they will recognize you. Nothing about you has changed except for your weight. You facial features are the same so I don't think that they wont recognize you.", he said while keeping his eyes focused on the road. "Thank you...", I said and looked at him. "Why?" "For staying with me for almost 6 months. For helping me in losing weight.", I said and kissed his hand which was holding mine. "Baby we went over this millions of times. You dont have to keep on thanking me. I love you! And I'll be ready to help you in accomplishing all your goals. I'll always be by your side no matter what happens, okay?", he said and stopped the car in front of my university.

"Wow. I didnt even notice that we're here.", I said and took my bag. I was wearing casual clothing, a whitish grey hoodie with a jean jacket on top and black jeans, while Taehyung was wearing a white shirt with a jean jacket and black jeans. I know you guys might say "OMG! Matching couple outfits! So cute!" That tiny tiger was wearing an all gucci attire but decided to change his clothes the moment he looked at my outfit. He's the one who wanted to match. Not me! I got out of the car and looked the building that looked unrecognizable. The management changed the entire university and it looks like it's a university that just opened. I heard a car door shutting so I looked back and saw Taehyung standing with his bag hanging on one shoulder.

"Arent you going to your university?", I asked him, confused as to why he wasnt in the car. "What do you mean? I am going to my university.", he said and came to me. "You know the surprise I was talking about? I shifted here. The crowd in my university changed completely. None of the students would let the professors teach and I heard this university is one of the best ones so I shifted here.", he said and smiled widely. Oh that box smile of his, makes me fall in love with him even more. "Are you sure you didnt shift here because I go here?", I asked and looked at him with my eyes narrowed. "Well that's the second reason.....or maybe first. But both of the reasons are valid!", he said. Forgetting the fact that we're in front of my university, I hugged him and placed my lips on his, not caring if anyone saw us.

[ 3rd person POV ]
Dayeon, EunA, Jiae and Hana were going to enter the university campus when EunA spotted Taehyung and a girl kissing. She stopped her friends and pointed at the couple. "How dare he!? How can that guy cheat on our chubby teddy bear!?", she shouted. "Wait wait wait. What's going on here?", Jiae asked. "You see that couple kissing!?", EunA shouted. "First of all stop shouting and second yes we do see them. What about them?", Hana asked. "The guy is Areum's boyfriend! He's cheating on her!", EunA said. "Wait. Areum has a boyfriend and she didnt tell us but she told you!?", Dayeon said. "Well he told me about their relationship but that's not the point! He's cheating on her!", EunA shouted.

"We better go and stop him before Areum finds out." The group made their way towards the couple but stopped once they noticed the familiar facial features of the girl. "That chick looks alot like Areum....", Hana said. "Let's call Areum....I wanna see if that's really Areum or not.", Jiae said. Dayeon took her phone and called Areum, their eyes fixed on the girl to see if it was their chubby best friend who appeared slim to them. The couple broke off the kiss when the girls heard a familiar ringtone. The girl took her phone from her bag and looked at the caller id displayed on her phone. The girls were still unsure about it but when they heard what Taehyung said they were more than shocked, "Who is it, Areum? That person interrupted our kiss!!" "Calm down! It's just one my friends! Her name is Dayeon.", the girl replied. The girls couldnt believe what they saw. Their chubby best friend lost a lot of weight in a few months!

[ Areum's POV ]
I diverted my gaze from a pouting tiger cub to my phone. Just as I was about to answer the call, the call ended and a few screams were heard afterwards. I looked behind and saw my friends screaming while looking at me. Wow! That's a reaction. Cross out 'reaction of besties' from my list- I have no list. "OH MY GOD!!!!! QUEEEEEEEN!!", they shouted. "Please dont. I hate it when girls use that word. It just makes me cringe.", I said. "Forget about that! You didnt even try to contact me during the vacation! And why am I the only one who didnt know about you having a boyfriend!?", Dayeon said. "Hey! Even we didnt know that she had a boyfriend!", Hana and Jiae said at the same time. "Whatever! And you changed so much! We thought you were someone else!", Dayeon said.

"We were about to break his bones if we hadn't seen your face.", EunA said. "Dude! Why!?", Taehyung shouted. "Because we thought you were cheating on her!", Hana shouted. "I would never cheat on her! I wouldnt even think of cheating on her!", Taehyung replied. "What if you're drunk and you cheat on her?", Jiae asked him. "I'll tell her the truth and accept her decision. It's my fault for drinking a lot and I know for a fact that I wont hide it from her. If she wants to break up with me after that then we'll break up. I'm no one to stop her from doing that since I'm the reason why she's heartbroken.", he said which actually made me tear up. "When can you not be the sweetest guy on the planet?", I asked and looked him. "In bed.", he said and smirked at me.

"HELL NO! We dont want to hear how your bed activities are. We should get going now. The lectures will start soon.", Hana said with a disgusted face which made us all laugh. After our little reunion, we entered the campus and almost immediately everyone was looking at us. It was going well until the popular girl came towards us while smirking. "Hey girls. Looks like you dumped that ugly fat friend of yours.", she said while smirking. "What do you want from us, Soojin? And we didnt dump her.", Dayeon said. "Well I want this hottie right here. Hello...I'm Kim Soojin. The popular and the sweetest and the most beautiful girl over here.", Soojin said and winked at MY BOYFRIEND. DOES SHE WANNA DIE!? "Um....no thank you.", Taehyung said and held my hand. Her gaze shifted to our hands and I swear she looked like an angry bird right now.

"Who is she? A new chick for this university?", she said in a disgusted tone. "Well this is my girlfriend and no she's not the now kid. I'm the new kid.", Taehyung said. "I've never seen her here before. Now move aside. I wanna see what the ugly fatty would look like.", she said and glared at us. "Who?", I asked. "Song Areum. She's the fattest chick you'll ever meet and she's so damn ugly you'll feel terrible for her parents. Can you imagine what her parents would be thinking of her? They'll be regretting their life decisions for giving birth to such an ugly-" I couldnt let her continue...she crossed the line. My hand met her cheek, slapping her harshly and creating a red mark on her cheek. "Never speak about someone's family like that. You have no idea what she's going through and you dont even know if she has her parents. And you want to know what she looks like? She's talking to you right now. Have some kind of shame on yourself.", I said while glaring at her.

"How dare you!? You're just the new kid-" "Correction! She was already a student of this university.", Taehyung said. "What do you mean!?", she shouted. Everyone was staring at us, filming this entire drama that was happening on the first day of the university. "She has every right to slap you. First you talk bad about her and then talk about her parents. If it was the other way around even you would've done the exact same thing. No one can tolerate someone talking shit about them in front of them.", He said. Loud gasps were heard following with whispers about who I am. Some guessed I was Song Areum and some being hella confused. "Y-You mean-", Soojin tried speaking, looking at me with wide eyes. "Yes. I'm Song Areum. Shocked?", I said and smiled at her before looking at Taehyung. "You okay?", he asked me. I just placed a small kiss on his lips and nodded while smiling at him.
