Trisha climbed a really high tree that night. She couldn't sleep. She was thinking about so many things and the mosquitoes and bugs are definitely not helping (But mostly the thoughts, she could stand bugs, but thoughts are demons created by your own mind. And those are the worst kind of demons). She felt like as if her life just went from perfect to total train wreck in the duration of 7 months.
If humans didn't try to play god and make those things, I wouldn't be climbing a tree in the middle of the night when on a mission to save my best friend. She thought.
Even though that thought crossed her mind, she knew in her soul that making mistakes is the nature of human. And no matter what you do you'll always make mistakes, either on accident, or on purpose. Mistakes are inevitable, especially for the ignorant.
Sometimes, she wondered as to where she would be in a few years. Would she be in REX fighting the clones? Would she be in Elcon as an Imp? Or would she be in a cell waiting for her time to come? But other times, she just simply wondered if in a few years, she would even still be alive.
Her thoughts were interrupted when her head felt extremely light and she shut her eyes reflexively and set her head on the tree branch.
Maybe the thoughts are giving me headaches. I really should try to sleep.
But she didn't. Instead she climbed higher until suddenly she heard someone called her name. She remembered seeing everyone sleeping. Well, everyone except the ones on patrol, that is. So she looked down and saw none other than Andrew freaking Whitehall. He was smiling so wide, showing his perfect white teeth. (No, not really. It was dark and she couldn't see him that clearly, she was overreacting.)
"What?" she shouted back from where she is.
"Can I join you up there? It's more efficient to do patrols from high places, I think."
"Um, sure, be my guest."
Andrew climbed until he's one branch below her and started to look around the camp. It was clear, she checked earlier. But she was glad to have company. She was glad to have a friend there.
"You know, I saw you on your first day of training." Andrew whispered, in case there were clones around.
"Yeah, I know. You were totally checking me out." She replied softly, intending to be sarcastic.
"How did you know that? You only looked back for like, five seconds." He said in a confused tone.
"No, dumbass, I was being sarcastic. But that's okay because now I know you were checking me out. Yeah?" she laughed.
"Okay. I'm gonna keep in mind to be more careful when talking to you next time, Greene." He replied.
They stayed quiet the rest of the night. And for a moment, everything was okay.

They arrived in the facility two and a half days later. The walls were extremely high that even Trisha couldn't see the edge. The team took down a dozen of guards earlier so they'll have access to the security panel. A boy three inches taller than her was hacking the system (who she learned the day before to be Jared). The beeping of the buttons made her feel slightly uncomfortable. She didn't know why. She just knew that if the beeping doesn't stop any time soon, she won't be able to hold it. Something about the sound is making her itch to just scream at the boy to hurry up.
After a few more moments the door next to the panel opened up to an empty alley. There weren't any guards or clones outside the building. They didn't need any. At least that was before they hacked into the security system. And hacking it wasn't easy at all, because if it was, then they would have done it all the time. But the truth is, hacking into the system doesn't always work. When they hack into the systems, they were gambling with their life. Sometimes when hacking, there are codes and detectors to detect hackers and activate the self-destruction program in the panel.
Lucky for them, Jared has studied everything about hacking. He has the brain of Albert Einstein, for heaven's sake. Those kinds of brains are the ones you need in this mad, mad world. That would be one of the things written in the long list of surviving.
They went inside the facility but some of them stayed behind just in case. Trisha went in with the others and they walked slowly to the door that Jared had accessed on the facility's map when looking for a clear entrance. It was a small door, and seemed so rarely used that it has grown rusty and old. It wasn't locked because they had access to every digital key in the facility and Jared had opened it earlier.
"You okay there, Greene?" she heard Kat said when she started to sweat like crazy.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks."
But no, she was not fine, not at all. They had been there for at least half an hour. She had expected to see at least one of the clones there. But not a single soul has crossed path with them. The others were not as worried as she is. She didn't know why. Shouldn't they feel at least wary that no one was seen?
"Have you seen anyone apart from us?" Trisha whispered to Kat.
"No, but I don't think that's a problem, if that's what you're worried about. We've got guns." She grinned.
"But what if this is a trap?"
"It's not."
"How do you know?" Trisha was desperate now, her team mates are over-confident. She knew something was not right. Everyone was sure they're fine, at least until the hallway opened that they are full of terror. And it's not because there are troops of clones welcoming them with gunshots. But it was the fact that the hallway was empty. This is, in fact, a trap.
"Fall back." Jared whispered.
But they were too late. They took only a few steps back before they were surrounded by clones. They were in every direction. They were everywhere.

Only seven minutes has passed but everything already turned to chaos. Trisha had shot down at least four. She didn't know which bullet came from whose gun. She was aimlessly shooting her gun when all of a sudden someone grabbed her hand and pulled her away from the chaos, through the hundreds of guards and into the building. She thrashed and tried to escape with all her might. Unfortunately, she was too tired from earlier that it was no use.
"Let me go!" she shouted.
The person who had been dragging her stopped in the middle of an empty hallway and took off their mask.
Trisha squealed in surprise. Her eyes widened. She was too shocked to say anything and too tired to move. She was absolutely paralyzed then. There was not a single thing she could do. She didn't believe who was standing in front of her. And after finally gaining back control of her limbs, she hugged the person in front of her so tightly she was a bit worried about their breathing. It was Rosa.
