Twø

After a night full of bubble wrap, cardboard boxes, and tape, I finally finished unpacking my room. I didn't have many boxes to unpack, but I was a little OCD about things and it took me the whole night to get most of my room in order.

I obviously decided to not go in the roof last night, and spent the evening safe inside the apartment that now belonged to Sophia and I.

"Holland, can you please just go get breakfast?" Sophia whined once again, something that I had become accustomed to.

"If I do, you have to unpack the kitchen." I bargained. She quickly agreed, and I grabbed my keys and wallet, heading for the door.

As I waited for the elevator, a familiar figure appeared next to me. I debated starting a conversation, and of course I made the dumb mistake of saying something.

"Why'd you want me to meet you on the roof?"

He looked at me, surprised from my lack of subtleness. "A 'hello' would be nice before you start interrogating me, Miss Holland Rose."

"How do you know my middle name? How do you know my name in the first place?"

"You have a lot of questions, Holland Rose."

"Why do you keep calling me 'Holland Rose'?"

He smirked to himself, seeming to enjoy the torture he was putting me through. I sighed, as the elevator doors opened. I entered first, the mystery boy claiming that he was being a 'gentleman'.

As we descended, the tension in the elevator rose. I fought back the urge to ask more questions, knowing I wouldn't get any answers.

When the elevator came to a stop, we both exited, going in opposite directions when we left the building.

The walk to the coffee shop wasn't too long. The line at the coffee shop, however, was a different story. It gave me plenty of time to think about the elevator boy.

When I finally got to the front of the line I saw familiar head of hair. It was dark with a blonde highlight, and I remembered seeing it around my apartment building. He lived across the hall from me, along with the elevator boy.

"Hi, what can I get you today?" His cheery Australian accent rang through my ears. I told him my order, consisting of two chocolate chip muffins and coffee, and paid him what I owed.

"Don't you live across the hall from me?" He asked, as he was giving me my change. I nodded, putting my hand out for him to shake.

"I'm Holland."

"Calum." He smiled, accepting the gesture.

I nodded, returning the smile. He handed me by bag and we said our goodbyes.

I quickly walked back to my apartment, wanting to eat as soon as possible. Just as I got to the elevator, the doors closed, meaning I would have to wait for it to return.

The familiar boy with dirty blonde hair appeared next to me. I glanced over at him, noticing nothing had changed about him from what I saw fifteen minutes ago. He wasn't carrying anything new, and I started to wonder where he went. But more than that, I still wondered what his name was.

"Is your name Andrew?" I asked, hoping he would answer me.

"So you read my note and didn't meet me on the roof?" He asked, ignoring my question. This was honestly the first time I noticed his Australian accent. The elevator returned and we got on.

"Andy?" I offered. He simply shook his head, which had become a common way of him answering.

"Well if you can't tell, I'm horrible at guessing. Could I have another hint?"

He didn't answer, and I knew that he wouldn't anytime soon. I rolled my eyes, waiting for the elevator to ascend to the twelfth floor, and when it did, we walked to our respective apartments without a word.

I gave Sophia her muffin and coffee and went to put wallet and keys back in my room. On my bed, there was another piece of paper waiting for me.

Holland,
You didn't show up on the roof last night. I expect you there tonight, at the same time.

I decided that going on the roof tonight might be a good idea to find out his name. It could also bring an end to these creepy notes in my room.

I went back into the living room with my laptop and searched "boys names beginning with a". I began going through the list, hoping one of the names I would come across would be his.
I wrote down a few names and a piece of paper;

Adam
Andy
Anthony
Andrew
Alex

Tonight on the roof I would ask him about the name I wrote, hoping that one of them belongs of him.

All I knew is that I was determined to find out his name.
