6 Melanie

"Violet calm down please. I'll ask the teacher to get us out. Give me a minute." Autumn said rushing to ask the teacher if we could go out.

I was about to cry and I looked up and Cody was done with kissing session with that cheerleader, Melanie and he looked at me and gave me a, 'are you ok?' face and I ran out of class. Of course Ophelia and Autumn ran after me and I went to the girls locker room.

"Don't cry because of that Vivi, Melanie is a just a snob cheerleader. Melanie may be pretty, brown curly hair..."

"But her hair is straightened?" I asked.

"Exactly, she's straightens it every day and let me just say, it's really bad for your hair. When she was in sec 1, she used to be 'the Tiffany' and then Tiffany came to the school and stole her "role" and since then, she's been doing EVERYTHING to piss her off. She stole all her boyfriends, tried to get her out of every competition, and tried to humiliate her in public several times. Now she took Cody not to piss you off, but to piss Tiffany off because she knows she likes her."

"Really? Yo-you th-think so?" I said trying to speak while crying.

"Yes and I saw the way Cody looked at you when you were this close to crying. I'm sure he felt really bad and worst he wanted to know what was wrong because he cares about you."

"Ya I guess. Well we better get going then. I'm feeling better now."

"That's my girl!" Autumn said smiling.

We headed to class and I sat down. I was two rows behind Cody. He turned around and he tried mouthing words but no soumd came out. It said 'are you ok?' I said yes but I knew what that meant, he was going to either text me or talk to me after class.

Oh well I would have to invent an excuse. I ignored the thought and focused on my work.

When the class was done as I was going out of class, Cody stopped me and dragged me in the class so we could have a little privacy.

"Violet the look you gave me when you were about to cry made my heart break. I wanted to come out with you but the teacher said not to. What's wrong is everything ok? Is it because of..."

"No it's not because of Melanie. She's the prettiest cheerleader and your the hottest kid and almost every girl has a crush on you. I just had that moment where I needed to cry, I don't expect you to understand. I'm fine now, thanks for caring I really appreciate it."

He opened his arm to give me a hug and I gave him a hug. I felt so good after that. But suddenly an unexpected guest came in the room at the wrong time... Melanie!

"Cody, where were you I was looking for you everywhere. Umm what are you doing?"

"Mel, this is Violet my friend, she needed a hug, she has a lot of stuff going on so she needed comfort."

"Can I steal her for a second?" She asked.

"Ya go ahead."

I walked to Melanie and she didn't seem really happy. She looked at me with such a dirty look.

"Look, I don't know what you are doing or who you are but he's mine ok? He's..."

Cody was standing just a few feet away.

"Don't worry. I know you like Cody and so does he. And even if I liked him I'm already taken. I have a boyfriend."

I walked passed Cody and just walked away.
