22 Happy Birthday!

I spent the rest of the night with Cody. I never felt so much emotion in one day. Ever since the first day of school I started liking Cody and he liked me too. My first boyfriend! Aaahhhh!!! I was so happy. For the rest of the evening, he spent telling me all these stories of my past. I learned so much. It was starting to get late and I was very tired so I went to bed. I had one more night at the hospital and I could come home again. Man, I couldn't wait.

"Someone seems a little tired." Said Cody.

I yawned and nodded.

"Off you go, to bed, now princess."

"Can you sing?" I asked.

"Umm, well sort of but, you,-"

"Sing, I want to hear it. It helps me go to sleep." I asked.

"Um, sure. What song?" He asked.

"Any." I replied smiling.

"Ok."

He had such a beautiful voice. I fell asleep right away. He was brushing my hair while singing. It was magical.

"Good morning beautiful." Said Cody with a soft voice.

"Good morning."

"Today is the big day! You can come home now!" Replied Cody excited.

"I know I'm super happy. I hate hospitals."

"I know, But first...."

"SURPRISE!"

All of a sudden, Ajay, Ophelia, Autumn, Tristan, Nicholas, and my mom burst in the room with plenty of flowers, gifts, and a cake.

"Happy birthday Princess." Said Cody as he came and kissed me.

My birthday. I completely forgot. 15, wow, I really don't remember anything.

I was so happy, when everyone came in. They all started singing happy birthday, my eyes got all watery.

"Make a wish, beautiful." said Cody.

I made my wish and blew my candles. The cake was just chocolate. My favourite. It had little sprinkles on top and it was writing "Happy Birthday" in white icing. It was really good. We took plenty of pictures, and at 3:00 p.m. I was heading home.

Cody stayed to eat supper. He got to meet my mom and she admitted after he left, that she really liked him. Ouf! What a relief. I was really happy.

These past days have been so wonderful, I don't know what could go wrong.

The things is, Violet had forgotten that tomorrow was the day Ajay came to her school, and little did she remember that he still had feelings for her.
