4 Forever and Always

As usual after hearing that comment everyone knew what to do. We've practised lock downs so many times that we are very used to them. Cody seemed a little panicked but he followed everyone to the instrument room and kept calm. Like all our teachers say, if one panics everyone does, it spreads like a flu as fast as light But everyone kept calm and everything went well. We headed to the instrument room and all curled up one beside each other. Cody was right next to me.

Wow it's so hard to stare at someone when their so beautiful. I wouldn't dare stare at him especially if he was staring at me it would be so awkward but awesome...

"POW!!! POW!!!! POW!!"

I was about to scream when someone put their hand in front of my mouth to stop me from screaming. I turned around and it was him. Cody. I looked at him and he was already staring. Oh those blue eyes. Clear blue eyes on a sunny day with no clouds. Our staring went on like forever and then we heard it again...

"POW! POW!!! POW!!"

This time, his hand didn't leave my hand, but by instinct I kind of curled up closer to him like a child who is scared of thunder and tuckles in to feel safe next to their mother. Surprisingly, he actually took me in. It felt so good I kind of started crying after that but he kept on whispering "it fine, everything will be okay."

Then right after we heard the door knock...

"BANG BANG BANG BANG!"

By them everyone was kind of worrying but tried to keep calm. Cody stayed around me for like ever and for the first time I have never liked someone so much. Felt the way I felt. The comfort of his presence and the feeling of being safe.

At 10:37 was when the announcement was announced. I checked my watch and it was now 12:00 and we were all starting to get hungry. I couldn't text my mom and neither of us could. We were basically praying that everything would go well.

12:51, my stomach started to make funny noises which made me, cody and some others laugh a little but we had to laugh silently which was, I got admit, pretty hard.

Well that brought a little joy and changed the mood in the room for a while. Then...

"Would I please have your attention, the lock down is now over, so everyone please meet in the auditorium for an immediate meeting. Thank you!"

Oh my, I think I never felt so relieved in my entire life. I got up and looked up to Cody and said,

"Cody?"

"Yes Violet."

"Thank you so much for everything covering my mouth and holding me. You must think I'm such a baby so scared and cries all the time and...

"Hey, hey look at me, I won't think any of that. It was normal to react like that and you remind me a lot of my sister and I wouldn't do anything not to protect her."

"So, I should take that as a compliment? Like you would always be there for me?"

"Isn't what friends are for?" He said as handing out his hand to me.

I took it with no hesitation.

"Forever and always?"

I laughed, "Forever and always!"
