              Marine animal- blue whale ( 100 ft long, 200 tons). Heaviest land mammal- african bush elephant (12 ft high, 4-7 tons). Tallest land animal- giraffe (18 ft tall). Reptile- saltwater crocodile (20-23 ft long, 1150 pounds). Heaviest snake- green anaconda (16-30 ft, 550 pounds). Longest snake- reticulated python- (26-32 ft long). Fish- whale shark (40-60 ft long, 10-20 tons). Bird- ostrich ( 9 ft tall, 345 pounds). Insect- stixk insect (15 inches long).

                 The closest living relative to humans, chimpanzees are highly social and take care of their young for years. Millions of chimpanzees used to live throughout Africa. Today, that number has been reduced to less than 250, 000. (Decline of population- Hunting by humans and loss of habitat)

                The leatherback sea turtle is the largest turtle in the world. It can grow up to 7 ft long and weigh 2000 pounds. The turtles spend their entire life at sea, except when female turtles leave the water to lay their eggs. Once common in every ocean except in polar regions, they are now critically endangered. (Population decline- chocking on plastic, theft of eggs, fishing methods)

                The Amur leopard, native to southeastern Russia,  is one of the most endangered big cats. These animals are stront and athletic. They can jump more than 19 ft high. It is estimated that less than 30 Amur leopards remain in the wild. (Population decline- hunting by humans and habitat loss)
