About a week and a half later Oliver finally returned home. Laurel hid in the shadows of fighting crime so Oliver wouldn't come lecturing her about it because she knew Oliver wouldn't approve of what she was doing.
"Oh my god Oliver are you okay?" Felicity said as soon as she saw Oliver walk in. "I'm okay Felicity I'm just glad to be back and see everyone".
It was another night of fighting crime and Oliver and Roy attended to it but little did they know Laurel was already trying to handle it herself. Laurel was beating up the criminal with her stick when the guy was able to get away and start to strangle her with her stick. Unfortunately though Roy and Oliver were there at the scene neither of them saw Laurel until Roy saw Laurel on the ground "Oliver over here! It's Laurel" Roy yelled.

"She's barely breathing" Roy said " he's just got her knocked out cold" Oliver said "let's take her to the bunker" he finished.

As soon as they got her to their bunker they quickly tried to get her to breath it wasn't working..Roy found a solution to give Laurel when she woke up. "Oh my god Ollie" she said "hey, hey it's okay I'm right here your gonna be alright" he gave Laurel some water and a blanket. "Ok Laurel what in the name of hell were you doing out there? you almost got yourself killed!" Oliver asked "Oliver you chose not to train me and you didn't want to help me" she said "so you make the decision that your ready? Do you really think you can go out there and fight crime? Laurel your nothing but a drunk and a drug addict you are not capable of going out there clearly your going to end up hurt or worse killed" Laurel just stared at him while tears filled her eyes "are you done?" She asked "yeah I'm done Laurel I'm done taking the blame and I'm done saving you"
Laurel grabbed her things and ran out.

Laurel had been through so much pain and heartache it was so hard for her to cope with it. And all Laurel needed was someone by her side. She still went out as the black canary and was still seeking justice for Sara and Laurel wouldn't stop till she knew the truth.

"Don't you think you were a bit to tough on her Oliver she's just trying to save this city like you do every single day I can understand how she feels"
Felicity said to Oliver "Felicity she could of died out there If Roy didn't see her I don't want to risk her life and put her in danger and make her a threat her father has already been through enough I don't want him loosing Laurel" Oliver stated "but she didn't and your right maybe she's not ready but I know somebody can help her train and teach her" Felicity said "i just can't loose her again she means everything to me and now that I think about it I don't think she knows that".

Of course if Oliver knew Laurel well he would know That Laurel doesn't stand down. She didn't she quickly went out and started fighting her own battles each and every night. She got hurt a lot but she kept her mind focused on Sara. And as she was fighting for once Laurel didn't feel that flame inside of her. She kept her distance from Oliver but was working with Felicity. Her father Quentin thought Sara was alive just thought she was off fighting like she usually was but he didn't know someone else had taken Sara's place.

It was destiny. Thea used to say that the dead don't want anything because there gone and there not here any longer. But it was Laurels job to find justice for the innocent and Sara was innocent. Laurel was in a therapy session with some people and talked about what was going on but didn't speak of her sisters death. When she described herself as being a drunk and alcoholic herself someone else said something. A women named Brenda said she was a alcoholic and that she was suffering from an abusive boyfriend. Laurel of course heard this and talked to her father.

The boyfriend already had several charges against him already and Laurel decided she wanted to help her by making sure he was put away in prison. But Laurel took it into her own hands the wrong way. She decided she would handle him herself so she went out that night and found her boyfriend.
"Hey I heard you like to hit women how about a women who hits men?" Laurel said fiercely. She tried to fight him but she wasn't strong enough and ended up being the one on the ground.

Laurel later found herself in a hospital bed after she fell unconscious and luckily somebody found her. Her father had came to see her. "Laurel honey, what were you thinking? I can't be mad because I'm just relieved your okay" Quentin said to his daughter. "Dad? You know what I realized" Laurel said "I know that the world isn't fair it's a world where people deserve to get punished and they don't" she finished. He rubbed her head and walked out. All Laurel wanted was justice for her sister but she couldn't even do that she failed her sister she thought.

She was stable enough to go home but of course Oliver and Diggle were back from Hong Kong and Oliver happened to run into Laurel at Verdant.
"Laurel? What happened to you are you alright?" He asked "Nothing" Laurel lied "what happened Laurel?" He asked once again "I tried to save the city but it clearly didn't go down as planned" she said "I was trying to do what Sara did" she finished "Laurel listen" Oliver said as he pulled out a chair and sat down "I have loved you for almost my entire life Laurel and you have changed me you thought that island changed me but not as much as you" he said "how can you say that? when you cheated on me Oliver you screwed my sister over me it still stings when I think about it" Laurel said "you don't need to be like Sara and you don't have to be a hero to save this city you are doing enough to make Star City a better place" Oliver said "I want to be out there fighting alongside you guys because that's what makes me feel alive inside" Laurel said crying. Oliver pulled her close to his chest and kissed her forehead and said "I love you Laurel and I always will don't you ever forget that" he said as he lifted her up and kissed her. "I love you to Ollie always and forever".
