I made my way up the stairs and into my attic of a room. I noticed dads car wasn't at the front, maybe I can talk to mum? I sat on the end of my bed and looked up at the ceiling.
"Hey mum, I miss you.
There's this guy I like, he has a soulmate though. Suga is really nice to me, we went out for coffee today!" I talked about my day and smiled when Suga came into mind. I told mum about the sleepover I was invited to with the other volleyball members and managers."Can you see me?" I made it that every time I talk to mum I finish with those four words. Sure, they make me cry and I get super emotional but who wouldn't when talking to the sky hoping their parent is looking down on them proud?
I pulled out my laptop and aimlessly scrolled through Netflix in attempt to calm down. I found an anime that looked interesting, it was a high school full of students learning to become heroes. I hummed and began to watch it.
"That guy sounds like Nishinoya..." I mumbled, watching as a angry Pomeranian guy yelled at the plain boy. I must have binged watched the series for hours because I heard dads car pull in, peeking outside I noticed it was dark. Surprised, I glanced at the time - late. Only then did I realise how hungry I was. I groaned and rolled off the bed and headed down to the kitchen.
"Hey kiddo! What are you still doing up?" Dad asked quietly, given the time.
"I got carried away in a show and forgot to eat." I sheepishly admitted, rubbing my arm a bit. Dad sighed in reply and motioned me to go raid the kitchen while he put his stuff down and took a shower.
I smiled and skipped into the food heaven. I hummed as I went back and forth between the fridge and the cupboard, deciding on what to eat. I eventually gave up and made some soba.
I was in a tired haze when I finished making and consuming the food. I yawned as I waved dad goodnight.
"Remember you have to go to school tomorrow!" Dad called out, also tired considering his long day at work.
I groaned as I noticed I haven't packed my bag and I am having a late night on a school night. I dived face first into my bed, I could've fallen asleep right then and there but instead I blindly reached over for my phone and set an alarm. Once that was all set, I rolled over and blissfully slept.
~~
I fell off my bed scared for my life as my phone went off with its volume at 100%
"sh-UT UP!" I yelled as I angrily shut off the alarm. I groaned as I looked at the time 6:00 am, I trudged over to my cupboard and pulled out an untouched uniform for Kurasuno. I got myself into the bathroom without falling off the ladder and had a warm, refreshing shower. I tried not to wet my hair too much as I covered myself in nice smelling soap.
After getting out of the shower and pulling on the uniform I checked myself in the mirror. Ignoring my hair and still very tired expression on my face I looked great - okay, I looked okay. I fixed my hair so it wasn't so crazy and wild. I figured I would have breakfast before anything else.
I found my way into the kitchen and made a light bowl of cereal. I already took notice that dad was not in the house, meaning he was at work. I scoffed up my food like the lady I'm not and dashed back up the ladder to grab my bag. I grumbled as I realised I still hadn't packed it.
I shoved my note and some text books into the bag along with a pencil case. On my way back down into the main part of the house, specifically the kitchen. I opened the fridge and pulled out a bento dad had made me last night while I was asleep. I smiled to myself knowing how hard dad works and the things he does just for me are difficult sometimes.
