Rolling onto my stomach, I pulled my pillow over my head. However it didn't do anything to drown out the yelling in the room next to mine.
Of course on my last day to sleep in, Logan and Levi had decided to fight each other at seven in the morning. I could hear mom in their room trying to get them to quiet down but it wasn't working.
Groaning, I pulled the pillow off of my head. Not only was it not drowning out any sound but it was also starting to suffocate me a little bit. Not that I would've minded cause at least then I would be able to get some sleep.
"Well if Levi wasn't such a slob I wouldn't have tripped!"
I sighed and rolled out of bed. Logan's yelling was somehow getting louder and I clearly wasn't going to be able to get back to sleep. When I wake up, I'm up. There's no falling back asleep for me.
As a habit, I looked down at my arm. Still nothing. What could my soulmate be doing that he couldn't respond for a week? Like come on, it's not that hard to find something to write with.
A small surge of anger went through me at the thought of him blowing me off.
Walking over to my desk I picked up a marker.
Hey, it's me. Your soulmate. Just in case you forgot that you still have one of those.
It filled up most of my forearm, but it made me feel better.
He probably wouldn't even see it. I was planning on taking a shower in a few minutes anyways where it would come off.
Still feeling angry I chucked the marker across the room. I heard the click of it hitting my wall as I got out of bed.
Coming out of my room, I could see mom slipping out of the boys' room. I was so caught up thinking about my soulmate that I didn't notice the yelling stopped.
"Hey mom. What's up with them?" I said while nodding my head towards the twins' door.
Mom sighed while moving closer to me. "Levi left some dirty clothes on the ground and when Logan got up to use the bathroom he tripped."
Levi was always leaving messes somewhere so it didn't surprise me much. "Okay. Well I'm going to go take a shower."
"Alright. I think dad is working late and I have to get to the bookstore so could you watch the boys today?"
Even though I wanted to say no, I knew I had to say yes. I could see the dark circles under her eyes and could tell she needed a break from them. "Of course mom," I replied smiling at her.
"By the way, your sister is stopping by today. She's just picking up some old stuff."
Sophia had only moved out a couple of months ago. When she first got to college and met her soulmate they planned to move in together right away. She left in such a rush that a lot of her stuff was still here.
"Is she bringing Amy?" I asked.
"Yeah," Mom replied.
She pulled me in for a hug and kissed my head. "Now I really have to go. I only have twenty minutes to make it to the store and open on time."
"Have a great day."
Turning around I walked into the bathroom. After pulling a towel out of the cabinet I quickly stripped and hopped into the shower.
Twisting on the faucet, I turned around so the water could hit my back.
I always loved the warm water streaming down on me. I could never stand the heat for long so I usually had shorter showers.
