A million and one thoughts ran through my mind as I laid alone in the bed. I just could not understand why they disliked Amirah so much, well I did know why. But the reason was petty, they should just let it go. They say they only want me to be happy and when I try to, they shoot me down. I don't understand that at all.

I love them niggas, they been with me since high school. That's much longer than I've known Amirah, so I understood that part. Maybe they were upset because I'll be too busy and not have enough time for my friends, but I will always make time for them.

"Come here girl." I pulled her into a hug. I held her super tight, not wanting to let her go. We could stay like this all day and my day would be complete. It was in this moment that I was making the best decision by asking for her hand in marriage.
