As you can tell, this story was inspired by the movie Up. All characters aren't mine. Read this with the song to intensify fEeLIngS.
"Come on, slowpoke. I'm here already!"
"Alright, hun. In a minute. I'm. Almost. There."
I giggled as he panted to death. How on earth did I keep on beating him on climbing a hill?
"Finally. After years of waiting, you made it." I chuckled.
"Don't exaggerate, El. I'm not that much of a wimp." He frowned, revealing his wrinkles on his forehead.
"Alright, alright. Let's just set this picnic already," I scoffed as I grabbed the picnic blanket and laid it on the bright green grass. The warm breeze hit the shady tree above us, causing its branches to rustle as the leaves and flowers joined to hop and dance amidst the zephyr current. After setting the yellow piece of cloth on the ground, we both sat on it and admired the calming scenery. I beamed at Carl. Fine wrinkles emerged from the edge of his squared glasses. His hair moved gently as another blow of wind came. I could also feel strands of my hair brushed my cheeks lightly, and Carl's hand gently tucked them in.
"I noticed that you always do your hair in a bun. Well, except when we were kids. Your hair was just, crazy!" He said while mimicking the word crazy on top of my head. I rolled my eyes."I do my hair like this whenever I feel optimistic about life. It just made me feel happier for some reason," I replied.
"Woah, you're happy all the time." He responded. I smiled gently at him and laid down against the picnic blanket. He too did the same thing.
We both gazed upon the blue sky, filled with gigantic white cotton clouds. Then, we daydreamed with our eyes open.
"Look, a flying elephant! See?" I said as I spotted a cloud. Carl nodded, then he pointed into one."Oh, hey! That one looks like a baby," he pointed out.
"Baby... Yes! Tons of babies!" I said excitedly, waving at the skies. The thrilling sensation of having a baby filled my heart and my stomach as I got nervous imagining. I looked at Carl to see his shocked face, and then he smiled.
I looked back at the blue sky. The warm breeze came back, and I took a deep breath to sense a whiff of the warmth that eventually filled my soul. Excitement and thrill bloomed in me as my heartbeat goes faster.
Oh, how nice it would be to have a child of our own.
