A/N: I know that I don't write June into imagines much where the diagnostics team is involved. That it for the simple fact that I don't feel as though I fully understand her as a character/person just yet. We haven't gotten to know much about her, and I would hate to fully portray her in the wrong way by writing her in an imagine the fully way through and portray her as just a villainous character. Whereas with Baz it's pretty clear what type of person he is at this point of the story. But, with that being said I hope that you enjoy this imagine all the same 😊
Much Love,

It was another day at Edenbrook hospital, doctors, nurses, and surgeons alike caring for patients all over the hospital. But for one of those doctors it was a special day, and nothing would stop her from smiling. Not even the saddest of news. Of course she would be sad and sympathetic with the patient but if she was away from that room she would be smiling no matter how much that made her heart ache. The doctor walked through the doors and into the main atrium, signing in at the main desk and heading to the 7th floor, signing in there too. The double sign-in sometimes annoyed her but today she was determined to have the best birthday ever. She walked into the diagnostics room and was greeted by Baz. "Hey! It's the birthday girl!" he greeted as he crossed the room and gave her a hug. "Good morning to you too Baz!" she laughed as she returned the hug. The two sat at the table discussing cases amongst other things like if Casey had any post birthday plans for when she had a day off and what they were going to be.
"I've always wanted to try skydiving, so I was thinking of signing myself up for that but then I realized I have zero experience and not much free time to take classes. I've gone to clubs or bars for my past 3 or 4 birthdays. So I don't know. I don't really have anything planned except a lovely warm bubble bath with a glass of wine then curling up on the sofa with my favourite book or TV show for the day."
"would you do a face mask?"
"Oh of course! What kind of woman do you take me for Baz Mirani?!" Casey joked as a voice cleared at the desk behind them, startling them as they turned and looked "Ethan. When did you walk in?" Baz asked, still a little shocked. "About 5 minutes ago. You two know I don't tolerate gasbagging in this room about outside plans. See to it that it doesn't happen again, or I'll have to write you up." Ethan replied stoically but Casey continued to smile. "Do you think this is funny, Rookie?" he asked, turning his attention to her. "I'm smiling because it's my birthday and they don't call the song 'Happy Birthday' for you to spend your day stressing out and frowning at every moment" she beamed as she swiveled back around in her chair to face the board at the front of the room. "So... what do we have today Dr. Ramsey?" Baz asked as Ethan took a place at the front of the room and started sticking up scans and firing off their patients symptoms, previous diagnosis, and a list of tests they could do upon arrival to determine the patients problem. The three doctors worked quickly together in blindly diagnosing the patient and readying their room for arrival. They didn't yet have a name for this patient but when Casey walked into the room she got a shock. So much so she almost dropped her clipboard and pen, as she turned pale white. The patient looked up as the doctors entered the room immediately smiling at Casey. "Yo. Big sis!" he exclaimed weakly causing Ethan to turn his body and shoot her a look of question, but she ignored it focusing on the job at hand. "Good Morning Mr. Valentine, what brings you to us today?" she smiled as she launched straight into her professional line of questioning. Ethan and Baz stood back looking at each other astonished that she was acting so cool and collected, taking notes before turning to them and listing off a few tests they needed to run. The two men agreed with her and started collecting bloodwork and other samples to send off to the lab for testing. They left the room and Casey went to follow them out when her brother called out to her weakly again. "Casey... You will be able to find out what's wrong, won't you?" he asked, eyes full of sadness. With a sigh she walked back over to her brother's bedside and sat with him, taking his hand in hers tightly. "Amari.. you're in the best care here in Boston. If there's something to find. We'll find it." She reassured him and he smiled a little. "Thank you." He said tenderly. She knew it was against work code, but she stood and gave him a massive hug, tears stinging her eyes, but she managed to blink them away. "Also. Happy Birthday. I'm sorry if I've put a damper on it. But when I get outta here.. MAAANN you're going to love your present." Amari exclaimed excitedly, Casey chuckling as she held his hand again. "You gave me a shock. That's for sure" she joked before saying a quick see you later and leaving the room.
