Chapter 4

Later that day, I was sitting on the edge of my bed, looking out of the giant picture window to watch the sunset, thinking about what happened. I still couldn't control my emotions.

Every now and then, Leo came upstairs to look after me. He wanted to be with me to comfort me, but I told him I wanted to be on my own for a while. It had been a while since he came upstairs the last time when he came in and said: "I ran a bath for you, sweetheart. I thought you might need it." A small smile appeared on my face. I stood up and kissed his cheek "Thank you.", I said.

I was only wearing my white bathrobe when I came out of the bathroom, I had put my hair in a bun. Leo was right, I did need that bath. I didn't know why, but I felt better right after stepping out of the bathtub.

I went to my bedroom and got changed into my favourite pyjamas, even though it was the end of October and it wasn't warm enough to wear pyjamas that were supposed to be worn in the summer.

When I went downstairs, I noticed that Leo had made dinner. I went into the kitchen to look for him, but he wasn't there. I looked at the dinner he had prepared. It looked pretty good. "Looks like you're hungry!", he suddenly said. I turned around to look at him. "I am indeed." I smiled at him. "Are you feeling better?", he asked me. "Yes, thank you." There was an awkward moment of silence between us until Leo cleared his throat. "So, you wanna eat?" "Umm... Sure!"

"Your cooking has improved!", I was really surprised since Leo had never been the best cook. "My mom gave me some tips. Do you like it?" "Yeah it's better than I thought it would be." He smiled at me. He was glad that I liked it. "I really like your PJs.", he said. He knew exactly how much I loved his compliments. I couldn't help but smile at him. And for one moment Leo had made me forget about my misery.
