Chapter 10 - Weird encounters

Karyn's P.O.V

Fortunately Sunday goes by uneventful. I just stay in bed all day because I really need rest unless I won't be able to function on Monday. I take some Aspirin because of the body pain I'm feeling. Thanks to Jade, my wounds look better. My dad left some scars on my back but they'll heal soon.

Bruce kept me awake till 2am. I let Jace and Jade go out to the park just to get some air because to be honest I'm not in the mood to see overly cheerful people. We all have dinner together then settle in Jace's room to watch Netflix. We decide not to watch the tv in the living room because no one wants to entertain my dad's drunken state of mind and Jace is the only one with a tv in his room. It's not fair but my parents bought it so he could play his games. After my mum died we never really had enough money to buy a new one.

We go to bed around 11pm. In the morning I get up from my bed groaning realising it's Monday and look at the old alarm clock on my nightstand.

6:53am

Ughhhh just let me sleep five more minutes.

I finally get up from bed and take a shower. I comb my hair and tie it in a messy bun. I love my strawberry blonde hair but it's getting too long. I think I and Jade need a haircut.

I decide to wear a yellow loose sweater to cover my back and a pair of jeans. I jog down the stairs and take breakfast with the twins and wait for Skylar. She's running late. School starts by 8am so where the hell is she. I check the wall clock and it's

7:43am

Mondays are so annoying

I know our house is off Skylar's way to school and she's not really an early bird so it's not easy for her to get here on time but come on we're going to be late. I don't like depending on people but the trek to school takes a lot of time

7:48am

I hear her car horn coming from outside. I pick up my bag and rush out of the house with the twins in tow. I glare at her through the window while calling shotgun.

"You're late." I glare at her.

"Your house is not exactly on the way to school" she grumbles.

"Besides it's a Monday" she adds with a grunt.

"Guys we're late as it is. Can we just go?" Jace sighs.

Sky pulls out of our drive way and is a little over the speed limit but we make it to a school with two minutes to spare but we missed the warning bell so we're already late. I get my books from my locker and rush to my Geography class. We have six classes a day excluding lunch.

I'm late for Geography which really pisses me off because my teacher isn't exactly friendly. He scolds me and I just sulk in my seat. Luckily the fifty minutes goes by fast and I get to catch up with Sky after the second period because we have English next. I catch a glimpse of Ethan and Julio at the back of the class. Sky notices where i was looking at but doesn't say anything about it till we settle down.

"Have you apologised to Ethan?" Sky asks.

"No I haven't" I say under my breath.

"Why?"

"Sky please-" I sigh.

"No seriously you fucked up so gather some balls and swallow your pride and apologise to him." She says seriously.

"Fine" I agree because I know she's right.

After my fourth class I see Ethan by his locker standing alone. I take a deep breath and decide to walk up to him.
