Laura, Daughter of Poseidon, Hunter of Artemis

"Come girls, we need rest, we've been on the run for days, and Lady Artemis left me responsible for us all. I'm quite sure she wouldn't be pleased if we passed out from exhaustion." Laura said. She led the hunters to a small open area in the woods, where they set up camp for the night. Artemis ran from the trees, towards the hunters, with her bow drawn, in case she ran into trouble. When she saw the hunters of Artemis setting up camp, she lowered her bow, and stopped running. Laura looked up and smiled when she saw the goddess. "Lady Artemis, welcome back." she said softly, standing up. "Thank you. You've done well, leading the hunt." Artemis said, coming closer. "Thank you Lady Artemis." Laura beamed. Artemis sat down and set her bow on the ground beside her. "I'm afraid I bring news today my huntresses." she said with a sigh. The hunters stopped what they were doing and turned all attention towards Artemis. "What is it, Lady Artemis?" one of the younger girls asked. "Four magical items have been stolen from Olympus. The gods have turned against each other and chosen their respectable sides. I was the only one wise enough to stay out of it." she said. Quiet chatter broke out among the hunters. "What will we do now?" "We don't need another war..." "What are we going to do" The huntresses whispered to each other. "Quiet please" Artemis said, "We have time, but we will need help." she finished. "Help from who, Lady Artemis?" one of the huntresses asked. Artemis sighed "The demigods." The huntresses groaned. Laura turned towards them. "I'm sure my sister will be willing to help us, she always has." she reminded them. A few of the girls opened their mouths to say something, but each were shushed by older hunters. "I know none of you are keen on working with the demigods, which is why only one of you will be going." said Artemis. Laura looked back towards the goddess. "I'll go. I can handle the demigods, possibly better than most of the huntresses." she said. Artemis nodded, "Now I must go, I must do my best to track down whoever stole the magical items. While Laura and I are gone. Bella will lead the hunt." she gestured towards one of the older hunters, who smiled brightly. "I will serve you well, Lady Artemis." she said. Artemis smiled softly, "I'm sure you will. Now, Laura and I must be going. Make me proud, my huntresses." Artemis said, she nodded at Laura, and they left into the trees, to find Camp Half Blood once again.

Laura crossed over the border to Camp Half Blood, followed by Artemis. Some young campers had been running near the edge of the hill, laughing and playing. When they saw Artemis they stopped and bowed their heads slightly. Laura walked closer to the campers. "Where's Chiron?" She asked firmly. "At the big house" one of the campers replied. "Thank you, you may continue with your game." Artemis said, as she started towards the big house. Laura knocked softly on the door. "Come in!" Chiron called from inside. Artemis pushed the door open and stepped inside. "The decor is much nicer with Dionysus back at Olympus." Artemis commented, as Chiron turned around. "Lady Artemis, and Laura, hello." he said, coming towards them, in centaur form. "Hello Chiron." Laura greeted the old camp director with a slight smile. Chiron smiled softly at Laura. "Welcome back to camp, what brings you here?" he asked. Artemis sat in a chair, and Laura sat as well. "The gods are fighting. 4 items have been stolen, and we need your help to get them back, before sunset 15 days from now." Artemis explained. "I see... what was stolen." he asked, in a monotone voice with a sigh. "Hermes's caduceus, Demeter's cornucopia, Poseidon's trident, and Aphrodite's golden apple." Artemis listed off the four items, "And we'll need to send a quest out to retrieve them. I'm leaving Laura here, in hopes that she'll be able to help your demigods. I myself must leave, to hunt the person or creature that stole the magical items. I believe I've left the task in good hands, so I must be going." Artemis stood, and with that, she left the big house. Chiron turned to Laura. "Let's go find your sister, why don't we." He said. Laura nodded and stood, opening the door to the big house. She and Chiron left towards the Poseidon cabin.
