Sage, Daughter of Aphrodite
She paced back and forth in the Aphrodite cabin. "What am I going to do- I can't go on a quest- ugh!" she rubbed her temples and turned to Angelica, who was sitting and watching her big sister. "Well either you have to go or Bobby has to go, and Bobby made it very clear that she isn't going this time. So I guess you'll have to pack, and you'll have to go." Angelica said, leaning on her pillow. Sage sat down on her bed. "I know Angie- but I don't know if I can-" she said softly. Angelica sighed softly. "But you don't have a choice Sage... maybe go talk to Nadia, she'll be more help than me." she said. Sage nodded. "Yeah your right... I'm going to find Nadia..." she turned back to Angelica, "thanks-" she started, but Angelica was sound asleep. Sage sighed softly, and left the Aphrodite cabin. She knocked on the Iris cabin door, and it was answered by Spencer, one of the two children of Iris. "Oh- hey Sage- I assume your looking for Nadia?" Spence asked. Sage nodded miserably and stepped inside the cabin. "I'll just- go- I'll give you two some time." Spence said quietly, slipping out of the cabin. Sage sat down beside Nadia. "So... a quest huh?" Nadia asked quietly. Sage nodded, "yeah... and I don't know what to do-" she said. Nadia looked up at Sage. "Well you'll have to go. Your mom needs you, like it or not." Nadia said. "I know... but I'm scared." Sage whispered, "What if I don't come back?" Nadia shook her head. "Don't think about that Sage. You'll be alright. You'll have the others with you, and they won't let you go down that easily." she said. Sage took a breath. "Your right... I only wish you could come" she said sadly. "Yeah... me too... I hate being away from you for so long... but we can iris-message, we can keep in contact." Nadia assured her. Sage nodded slowly. "Yeah... we can." she said softly, leaning her cheek against Nadia's shoulder. Nadia wrapped her arms around Sage, and they rocked back and forth, in silence. Sage suddenly sat up. "I wonder- I'll be right back Nadia." she stood up and ran out of the cabin. "I- Ok then-" Nadia said, sitting there in confusion. A few minutes later, Sage ran back into the cabin, holding a canvas. She sat down beside Nadia. "Its the painting from our beach date..." Sage said quietly. Nadia smiled softly. "I remember that... it was so long ago..." Nadia said. Sage nodded. "Yeah... it was... but now I want you to have it. Keep it until I get back. Just to make sure you don't forget about me" she smiled cheekily. Nadia laughed softly. "I could never forget you." she said softly. "You sure? Not even if you meet another cute girl while I'm gone?" Sage teased. "Nah, no other girl could even compare to you." Nadia replied, smirking softly. Sage blushed, "If your sure-" she said softly. "I am." Nadia replied, "Now, its almost sunrise already, you should be going, you still need to pack, don't you?" Sage's eyes went wide. "Shit! I do!" she said. Sage turned to Nadia and pulled her into a hug "I'll miss you so much..." she whispered, holding Nadia close. Nadia smiled sadly, "I'll miss you too Sage" she said softly. When they pulled out of the hug, Sage kissed Nadia on the cheek, and set the painting down on the bed. "Love you" she said before turning to leave. "Love you too Sage..." Nadia said, but Sage was already gone. She picked up the painting, and hung it on the wall beside her bunk. Spence walked in, and saw the painting. "It'll be ok Nadia... She'll be ok." he said, before climbing into his own bed. Nadia sighed softly, sitting back down. "I sure hope so..."
Apparently, the first person to read this part cried over it, so I hope it wasn't too sad- I hope your enjoying the story so far! I know I am! -Sparkler
