Y/N SAT BUNDLED UNDER WHAT seemed like a thousand blankets, in front of her christmas tree. she had a book in her hands but wasn't putting her full attention into it.
it was christmas eve and she was upset it was only her mom and herself again. she missed seeing her two best friends and wished they lived near her but unfortunately, that's not how it worked out.
the girls mom was in the kitchen, preparing dinner with a small smile on her face which the girl hadn't noticed yet. y/n's mom had a trick up her sleeve and was waiting impatiently for it to arrive.
y/n looked up from her book to see her mother with a smile on her face which just made her frown. how could she be so giddy when it was only the two of them for the second year in a row?
she tuned into the music her mother was playing and realized blue christmas by elvis presley was playing. 'boy will i be having a blue, blue christmas' she thought to herself, not knowing what her mother had planned.

JUST OUT FRONT OF THE two's house were two people we've grown to know and love. they stood by their car slowly getting colder and colder. the sun was going down and the temperature was falling with it.
those same big, chunky snowflakes were falling on the ground again, almost a whole year after the first time they were in the same position. the snow getting caught in their eyelashes and hair was a sight that y/n would see as beautiful.
they slowly crept up the the front door, excited to see their best friend again. they knocked and waited while more snow got caught in their eyelashes until a familiar face swung open the door once again.
"oh my god!" y/n screamed. she couldn't believe they were back. "hi! come in, come in!" she exclaimed to the pair standing in front of her.
the two stepped in and y/n didn't waste a second to wrap her arms around them in a tight embrace.
"jeez y/n you gotta let go a little," finn chuckled with a strained voice. "i can barely breathe!"
y/n let go but still had a huge smile plastered on her face. she couldn't believe her mom was able to pull this off for the second year in a row.
the trio went down to the basement once again and caught up with each other. finn and natalia told y/n all about filming for season 4 and y/n told them everything big that has been going on in her life (which, to be honest, wasn't much.)
after a while of catching up, y/n had thought of something they could do.
"let's go make gingerbread houses! my mom bought a couple a couple weeks ago but we never got around to decorating them." y/n suggested.
the three ran upstairs like a few little kids, excited to decorate the houses.
in the end, finn decorated the worst house (not without some whining, saying that it was rigged and he got the worst materials), and natalia decorated the best (with y/n and finn saying it was unfair because she's older than them and has more experience.)
the three laughed all night, enjoying each other's company after not seeing each other in quite a while.
y/n got up and started walking around, stretching her limbs, while still talking to them. she quickly got tired of doing that and sat down right where she was.
she didn't notice she was under the mistletoe, but her two best friends did.
"finn, go!" natalia whisper shouted at him, "this is your chance, man. you've been waiting for this for a year now." she tried to convince him.
he sat there, nervous for the outcome, and trying to figure out whether he wants to finally do this or not.
he made up his mind and slowly got up and walked over to the other girl. natalia sat back with a huge smile on her face, excited to see this happen after waiting for what seemed like an eternity for her.
y/n scrunched her face up with confusion when finn gave her his hand to help her up. he gestured above her, and that's when she realized the mistletoe.
she felt her face heat up and her knees go weak. she couldn't believe that her celebrity crush, and best friend, was about to do this. she didn't even know he felt the same way!
finn slowly leaned in with y/n doing the same.
natalia had to cover her mouth because she didn't want to ruin the moment for them with her screaming.
when their lips connected, it felt like fireworks had gone off in both of their stomachs. they felt like this was what was supposed to happen.
when they pulled away, y/n blushed and looked at the ground while finn looked back at natalia, all three of them with the biggest smiles put on their face.
"you don't know how long i've wanted to do that." finn told y/n when he looked back at her.
"well, i'm glad you finally did."
author speaks! and that's a wrap! all i want for christmas is now finished :)
i honestly think this book is kinda bad compared to a lot of other books i've read on wattpad but i guess you can see my improvement lol.
also, happy belated/early birthday to maddiewastaken !! she's been here for as long as i can remember and has shown a lot of love and support to my books.
