A couple of months prior to Christmas
Y/N's mom had made her write out her Christmas list really early as usual because she likes to start her shopping early.
Y/N put a couple basic things on her list such as face masks, bath bombs, skin care stuff, some new clothes and some LED lights for her room. She also added Finn Wolfhard on her list as a joke like she does every year.
She gave her list to her mother and she instantly went out to go shopping so she could get stuff before it sold out.
Y/N knew that putting Finn on her list wasn't a complete joke but she kept trying to convince herself that it was completely a joke.
Y/N went up to her room and put her favourite record on her record player. Of course that vinyl was the one and only Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears.
She went on her phone while the record was quietly playing in the background of her room and went to go talk to her only friend, Ava. She had only one friend in her whole school because her and Ava had gotten in fights with everyone. Everyone else at the school was pretty much friends and it was like Y/N and Ava were the odd ones out.
When the girl and Ava were pretty much finished texting, Y/N heard her mom come through the front door on the phone with someone. She decided not to eavesdrop and just listen to the song playing on her record player which was Everybody Wants To Rule The World.
After the girls mom had finished her call, she went up to her daughters room to talk to her. She couldn't help but tease her daughter about one of her Christmas presents that she had already bought.
"There's this one present that I think you're really gonna like!" Y/N's mom squealed while talking to her.
"Are you really gonna tease me about my presents up until Christmas again?" Y/N groaned considering her mom had done this every year.
Y/N had a really good relationship with both of her parents so she wasn't worried about her mom getting really mad at her for the way she expresses her feelings.
Her record had eventually finished and of course she put another one on just so she could relax.
She went and laid down on her bed, thinking of what her mom could've got her. There were a lot of possibilities considering she had mentioned a lot of things she wanted over the year, that she didn't write down on her Christmas list because she simply forgot about them.
While she was thinking she ended up falling asleep for a while until her mom called her down for dinner.
