It was a Friday night and Y/n was at home cleaning. Y/n had nothing better to do, her girlfriend Lara was locked away in her study researching about some place in Siberia. The only thing Y/n really knows about it is that it was something her father was also researching before he died.
Y/n sighed drying the last plate with a towel, dinner was supposed to already been cooked but she thought there was no point. It's not like Lara would have eaten it anyway.
Throwing the towel down, Y/n looked around her and Lara's shared apartment, desperate for entertainment. Y/n really just wanted to ask Lara to take a break and spend some time with her but she hated being a burden since she knows how much Lara's research means to her. But at this point Y/n was getting a bit fed up, this has been going on for about 3 days now.

Y/n made your way to Lara's study room, knocking on the door softly, "Come in!". She slowly opened the door to see her girlfriend sitting on the floor with her laptop and a bunch of random books and papers surrounding her. "Wow... you seem busy." Y/n said stepping into the dim lit room. "I am... this group named Trinity, I think is looking for something called the divine source, the same artifact my father was after- Oh! but wait there's more." Lara holds up a piece of paper showing Y/n a symbol.
"This symbol.. I saw it in a tomb. I know I've seen it before, it's been driving me crazy, but that's when it hit me" Lara gets up and walks over to a bookshelf and grabs a brown book. "I saw it in one of my dad's books, listen to thi-"
"Lara." Y/n said looking at the ground. Lara stops flipping through the book and looks up at her, "Yeah..?".
Y/n sighs, "Don't you wanna... take a break? You've been at this for 3 whole days now Lara.". Lara sets the book down on the desk and rubs the bridge of her nose, "No... I don't have time for a break Y/n.. I have leave for Siberia and find the divine source before Trinity can.". Y/n scoffed, "Lara, you don't have to do a damn thing, and you were planning on leaving me without a heads up?"
Lara looked up at the girl with a annoyed look on her face, "Yes! I have to go to Siberia and find the divine source before Trinity! Just think, if this thing could really unlock the secret of immortality it would- it would change everything... sickness, suffering, death, gone. I-i can't let it get in the hands of Trinity, who knows what they'll do.."
"Oh my gosh Lara, do you hear yourself?!" Y/n said slightly raising her voice. "I don't care if the damn thing is real or not, I just want you stop locking yourself away from me all day and night-"
"My dad gave up everything for this!" Lara said taking a step closer, raising her voice also. "Yeah, including you!". Lara looked at you, a mixture of hurt and angry on her face. "Listen, I'm going to Siberia whether you like it or not. I am not going to miss out on this opportunity because my own girlfriend is getting in the way..." Lara said through gritted teeth.
Y/n squinted her eyes at Lara, "I'm getting in the way? I'm getting in the way!? How is wanting attention from my girlfriend who has been ignoring for the past 3 days "getting in the way"?! You lock yourself up in this stupid room chasing after dumb shit that probably doesn't even exist! Whens the last time you came and ate dinner with me or better yet, had a full on conversation with me that doesn't involve some dumb artifacts-"
"These aren't some dumb artifacts Y/n! These artifacts are capable of changing the world!"
"Yeah, and their capable of changing a person" Lara looks at you her face softening a little. "Lara look at you, whens the last time you ate a decent meal? Or actually had decent sleep? You can't keep doing this do yourself..." Y/n says hugging herself while looking at the ground.
Lara sighs, "Look- I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you or make you feel so lonely, baby. It's just- this means so much to me. I feel like I have to finish what my father started... I'll start to take better care of myself, I just don't want us fighting anymore." Lara says a small smile on her face, she opens her arms and takes Y/n into a hug.
Y/n smiles, "Thank you, Lara"
Lara pulls away but keeps her arms wrapped around Y/n, she sighs. "But I still have to go to Siberia... I need to gather as much information as I can tonight so I can leave bright and early in the morning.".
Y/n eyebrows furrowed, "Tomorrow morning... what". Lara nods "Yes, tomorrow I already have my things packed-"
Y/n shoves Lara away from her, an angry look now on her face. Lara looks at the girl in shock, "Baby whats-"
"Tomorrow fucking morning Lara! Are you serious?! You- You don't listen to a damn thing I tell you!" Lara eyes widen, shes never really seen Y/n this angry before. "Y/n calm down, I should be back in at least 2 to 3 weeks if not less, depending on my progress."
Y/n scoffs, "2 to 3 weeks..." she says quietly to herself. "Baby, I should be in and out of there if Trinity isn't too much trouble, then we can spend time together with no interruptions" Lara says smiling softly, walking towards the girl with her arms open.
"You know what Lara.. Fuck you." Y/n says, shoving Lara away from her. Lara drops her arms down, a hurt and confused look on her face, she starting to tear up.
"Fuck you. Fuck Siberia. Fuck the Divine Source. Fuck Trinity. And Fuck this Relationship." If looks could kill Lara would be six feet under ground by now. "W-what." Lara says tears streaming down her face. "I'm done Lara. We're done. I can't do this anymore, you put these dumb myths and artifacts before me, your own girlfriend! I'm sick and tired of you ignoring me and treating me like shit. So If you wanna go to Siberia, by all means go, because I don't care anymore. We're done." Y/n yells.
At this point Lara was trembling and crying, she would have never imagined Y/n saying something like this. "Y/n, Baby-"
"Don't Fucking- Don't call me that Lara" Y/n said trying to calm down a bit, she didn't want to cry, at least not now in front of Lara.
"Y/n I-I'm sorry, Just don't go... please don't go. I just- this is really important to me-" Lara says with a pleading look in her eyes.
"More important than your own girlfriend Lara??"
"No! Y/n just-" Lara let out a sob "Don't leave, I won't go to Siberia... I'll stay home" Y/n shook her head and laughed bitterly to herself. "Too late for that Lara, I hope you enjoy you little treasure hunt" Y/n says turning around and walking out the door, slamming it.
"Y/n wait-" Lara sobbed. She wanted to get up and run after Y/n but she saw no point. She fucked up, Y/n had given her multiple chances and she kept messing up. Lara honestly felt like the world was coming for her, she had already lost her parents, now she lost the love of her life... Y/n.
Lara swept everything off the desk in frustration, then falling onto her knees, sobbing.
