When Loki awoke, Thor stood at the foot of his bed, staring at him.
"Why did you come?"
"I came to save you."
"I didn't need saving," Loki scoffed.
"Who else was going to do it?"
"I have friends. Friends that mean a great deal more to me than you do."
Thor looked hurt but Loki chose to ignore it. Thor had hurt him too.
"You chose to stay here for countless human years when you could have at least told us you were safe! Did we not deserve to receive word of your well-being?"
"I did not choose to do anything," Loki said, annoyed.
Thor seemed confused but Loki wasn't about to explain that. Not now.
"I stayed to protect Midgard and my friends. Where have you been, Thor, all of these years? You could have come to save the humans when they were being attacked but you did nothing."
"They were being attacked by their own people. I came to save you, no-one else."
"You disgust me," Loki admitted. "You are so selfish! You would have allowed humans to die as long as your childhood companion lived."
"You are my brother_"
"You are not my brother!"
Without so much as a knock, Tony walked in.
"I heard shouting," he commented idly.
"Loki and I had a disagreement," Thor said.
"Yeah, I could tell," replied Tony. "I'd prefer it if you left, Pointbreak. Some people are meant to be recovering here."
"How dare you?" Thor questioned, beginning to rise up to his full height.
Tony, in all of his six-foot-one glory against a six-foot-six giant of a Norse god, glared at Thor.
"This is my house. As such, I can remove any hostiles I like. I'll tell you again: leave, before I make you."
Noticing that Loki was inextricably on the tiny mortal's side, Thor actually managed to hold in his temper and left with a crackle of electricity.
"Thank you," Loki said, relieved.
He let out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding.
"No problem, Reindeer Games."
Loki huffed in exasperation. Tony just shrugged.
"As if I wouldn't do my research after finding out who you were!" He exclaimed. "Although, sources do state that Odin is your brother."
He flinched and Tony noted this without comment.
"I can assure you that Odin is not my brother and neither is Thor," he replied with a cruel smile.
Tony stared at him.
"I'm sorry you had to find out this way," Loki admitted.
"I wouldn't have been happy regardless of which way I found out."
"I'm sorry," Loki repeated.
