Brooke woke up the next morning feeling better than she did the previous day, a smile on her face and the sun shining brightly despite the condition of the town. Brooke's phone had been going off continuously but she ignored it each time, she knew it was probably her mother and didn't really feel like speaking to her at that moment. She threw on a black skater dress that had a cute little cherry pattern all over with a pair of black leggings and her dark purple Dr Martins, her hair in a ponytail. She packed away her belongings, her suitcase in hand and her duffel bag on her back. The room key was in her hand as she walked down the stairs and passed the key to the greasy man at the desk who smirked grossly at her. As she got to the door she flipped her middle finger up at him from behind her and she heard a curse escape his mouth making her grin smugly. Brooke slipped her black leather jacket onto her shoulders and flipped her long blue hair over her shoulder, the ponytail swinging from side to side lightly as she took every step.

Brooke exited the run-down motel, preparing to walk the long trip home. She pulled her phone out of her pocket and plugged her earphones in, pressing play and immediately one of her favourite songs played; Ready To Run by One Direction from their new album FOUR. Brooke honestly couldn't understand why everyone hated them, she absolutely loved them. She bobbed her head from side to side enjoying the sound of the beat to the song. She was halfway through the song when suddenly her phone rang, a groan escaping her lips as she pulled her earphone out and looked to see that her mother was calling her.

"Hello?" She asked annoyed into the phone, stopping in her place and turning around. A black van was parked not too far from her, a few curses leaving the one boy, it looked like their van had broken down or something. She ignored the group of boys, not being able to help them in any way even if she could and focused her attention on her mother's voice.

"Thank god Brooke, you finally picked up!" Her mother yelled at her, making her sigh and rub her eyes stressfully. Brooke was alerted by the sound of a car door, making her turn her head around to look. Another three boys got out of the van, making their way over to help the first boy. She shook her head, turning back around once again. She honestly didn't want to deal with another argument.

"Maybe I didn't want to answer you purposely!" Brooke yelled back annoyed, she couldn't understand why her mother was acting like she cared about her daughter's safety when she really didn't. Or at least Brooke thought so. Diana paced back and forth stressfully, her hair was a mess and there were evident dark bags under her tired eyes. She had been up for hours trying to call her daughter when she realised she hadn't returned home like she thought she would, she had purposefully left the door open for Brooke to enter in the middle of the night. Which was a bit reckless on her part.

"How dare you speak to me like this Brooke Andrea Bennett!" Diana was already fed up with her daughter's attitude, only being on the phone for a few moments. Brooke grew frustrated and angry, kicking rocks across the ground in annoyance. The four boys looked over at her, hmm that's weird. They look familiar for some reason. Brooke looked at the boys confused, feeling that she'd seen them somewhere before. She had a weird gut feeling at that moment, although she was unsure why.

"You know what? I'm done, don't ring me because I won't answer!" She huffed angrily into the phone, hanging up the phone as her mother was speaking. Diana stressed, slamming her phone on the table. She angrily took a seat, stuffing her head in her hands and letting her emotions take over her. She cried in frustration that she couldn't control her daughter, feeling that sometimes she would be better off without one. Brooke grabbed at her belongings, trying to put her phone back in her pocket, only for it to fall on the floor. Brooke prayed that it wasn't broken, only to find the screen was cracked and wasn't turning on. It was a really old model with plenty of problems, she had been meaning to upgrade but hadn't gotten the chance to. Fuck, what do I do now?
