"Here you are." Brooke walked into the slightly messy room with a frown of confusion on her face. She walked walked around the room inspecting everything, sighing when she realised it was a boy's room. Everything was dark colours; black's, grey's and dark blue's.
"Who's room is this?" She asked the dumb question with no emotion, crossing her arms over her chest. Calum walked over to the bed and placed her bags down onto it a little too harshly for Brooke's liking.
"Ashton's sorry, he demanded you sleep in his room with him." Calum shrugged putting his arms in defence before Brooke could yell at him for it.
"Fine." Brooke sighed, flopping down onto Ashton's dark blue bedsheets and laying down, Calum walking out of the room to give her space.
Brooke closed her eyes momentarily and sighed, thinking hard about how much her life has changed within the span of three days. She contemplated on jumping out the window to escape, until she remembered she was on the second floor and the ground outside was hard. She sighed and sat up annoyed scrounging through her bag and pulled out a pair of sweat pants with a Marvel top and fresh underwear, she smiled and walked into the bathroom that was connected to Ashton's room.
She sighed happily as she stepped into the steaming spurts of warmth, happily washing in the shampoo and conditioner that she luckily brought with her, shaving (with a razor she brought) and washing her body, then getting out. She finally towel dried her hair as it dries really quickly and then brushed her teeth with her toothbrush, using Ashton's toothpaste. She felt exhausted by the end but also hungry, so she nervously walked downstairs and realised just how dark it was outside.
She made her way down to Ashton's office and knocked on the door three times before hearing the 'come in!' A sigh leaving her. She slowly pushed open the door and shyly poked her head inside, Ashton motioning her to come inside with his hand. Brooke bit her lip and slowly walked over to Ashton, his angry voice yelling softy into the phone before he hung up.
"What's up babe?" Ashton asked tiredly, rubbing his face with his rough hands and motioned her closer. Brooke gulped and walked over so she was stood right next to him, a gasp leaving her as something grabbed her and pulled her down.
She huffed as she realised Ashton had pulled her down onto his lap, his arms wrapped around her tightly to prevent her from escaping. She tried to fight and get off but he wouldn't allow it and she finally just gave it up.
"I'm hungry and was wondering if I could have something to eat?" Brooke whispered shyly and she swore for a second she saw Ashton look at her in awe but it was gone within seconds.
"Of course you can!" Ashton laughed, grabbing her hand and intertwining their fingers, as much as Brooke fought him on it she couldn't deny the small tingles running up her arm and fingers.

Brooke woke up in the middle of the night, her eyes wide as she tried to recall where she was until she realised who was next to her. Ashton. She sighed and let a small smile escape as she saw him lay next to her snoring lightly with his mouth slightly agape and his arm wrapped around her waist. Brooke softly turned in his embrace and looked at the bedside table, 2:13am, she groaned.
She realised how thirsty she was and slipped out of Ashton's arms peacefully without waking him up. She tip-toed downstairs in the dark, the street lights outside shinning through the non-boarded up windows. She hoped that no one would wake up and she would be able to peacefully have a drink and then go back an hopefully get some sleep as she hadn't done much in the last two days with a sane mind, she had constantly been on edge and hated everything at the moment.
Brooke made her way into the large dark kitchen and left the light off, not bothering to turn the light on as she could see the moonlight illuminate the room perfectly to the point where a light was not needed entirely. She opened the fridge and squinted her eyes closed at the bright orange light that blinded her slightly before she adjusted to it and sighed, pulling out a carton of orange juice.
Brooke poured herself a glass of the thick orange flavoured juice and smiled at the smooth sweet taste running down her neck and sending cold shivers to her stomach. She placed the carton back into the fridge and continued to look through it before standing up and turning around, a sudden noise sounding around the quiet room.
"Brooke?" Brooke screamed in fright at the sound of a man's familiar voice and jumped, her body not knowing what to do and she slipped, the glass already having fallen to the floor and causing her leg to hit it.
"Shit Brooke!" The kitchen light switched on and multiple footsteps followed, an angry voice yelling around the house for Brooke but all she could do was groan in pain and hold her leg.
"I'm so sorry Brooke, shit." The colourful haired boy cursed, a guilty feeling gnawing at him as he turned to see Luke and Calum stood in the doorway, both shocked.
"One of you go grab the first aid kit!" The colourful boy yelled, stressing immensely as he grabbed a towel, dustpan and brush.
"I'm Michael by the way and this is a really shitty way to meet someone." Michael joked, pulling at his fading red hair stressfully and cleaning up all visible pieces of glass. Ashton moving into the kitchen but getting pushed aside by Luke running in with the first aid kit.
"Here." He mumbled, moving back slightly as Michael carefully picked Brooke up bridal style and placed her on the island counter, making sure not to hit her leg.
"Can someone clean the floor up for me?" Michael yelled, asking am someone. Calum sighed knowing no one else would and moved over to the floor, grabbing a cloth and cleaning the juice up, also making sure no glass was left behind.
"What the fuck happened?" Ashton demanded as Michael pulled out the disinfectant and a bandage roll, lightly holding the glass.
"Ashton can you come hold Brooke's hand?" Michael asked softly, hoping to not upset his best friend and boss. Ashton complied silently and walked right on over straight away, grabbing onto her hand.
"On three . . . ." Michael whispered but Brooke's eyes were focusing on Ashton, to prevent herself from staring at the glass stuck in her leg. She suddenly felt a sharp pull and pain spread through her leg, her head moving to Ashton's shoulder and biting it, a whimper of pain leaving her mouth while Ashton rubbed soothing circles on her back, her hand squeezing his tightly but he didn't mind.
"All done." Michael sighed happily, giving her a sympathetic yet guilty smile to which she nodded and thanked him.
"What even happened?" Ashton asked as Brooke softly attempted to awkwardly get down, Ashton's eyes glaring accusingly at his best friend.
The tension in the room was thick, others staying silently and leaving the room, having already gone to bed or took the silence as a signal to leave. Brooke on the other hand understood the truth and wasn't going to let Michael get his ass kicked for something that wasn't intentionally done on purpose.
"Ashton . . . Michael didn't meant to scare me. It was dark in here and I wasn't watching where I was going, I didn't here Michael come down the stairs and I slipped. Okay?" But Ashton ignored her, still glaring at Michael who was tensing at having being looked at in such a way.
Brooke sighed and lightly pushed Mike towards the door, ordering him to go to bed. "I really am sorry Brooke." He whispered sympathetically before leaving and walking upstairs, Ashton's hands now wrapping around Brooke's waist and leading her upstairs towards the bed.
"Don't leave this room without someone with you from now on, I don't like seeing you in pain." Ashton mumbled, trying to hide the fact that he cared about the small fragile girl laying in front of him was hard but he somehow managed it.
"Whatever you say boss." She sighed, snuggling down into bed again, an awkwardness filling the air thickly before both cuddled closer, a natural thing that neither where used to but felt the need for it to happen.
Others would say the way they all lived was fucked up, other would say it was completely normal around these parts but on Brooke's hands, she had no idea how to react to all of this together but soon . . . Soon, she would understand it all perfectly she that kind of scared her.
