Chapter 21

Rosé's parents and in laws went to the hospital to meet him the next day as soon as they reached the airport, since they were abroad for a business meeting.

"Aww my baby" Mark's mom cried as she walked towards Mark and hugged him gently. Mark smiled and hugged her.

"Are you okay? How did this happen?" She asked with tears flowing down her face.

"Mom, I'm fine~ please don't cry" he said wiping her tears ignoring the pain in his wrist.

"I'm sorry we couldn't be here earlier, buddy" his dad said caressing his head gently.

"It's okay and it doesn't matter dad. The only thing that matter is that you guys are here now" he smiling.

"Thank you for visiting me, Mama and Papa" Mark said looking at his in laws. They smiled back and Rosé's mother kissed his forehead.

"But Mark how did this happen?" Rosé's father asked.

"I was drunk" he said smiling sheepishly and scratching his neck with embarrassment.

"You?! And drunk?!" His mom was surprised.

"Why~ am I not allowed to get drunk?" He pouted.

"I mean yes but not when you're driving! How many times should I tell you to be careful! Huh?! What if something had happened to you?! We would've lost you! I would've lost my son!" She ended with a whisper. She was crying again.

"Mom~ no~ don't cry~ see, I'm fine now, nothing happened to me" he said hugging her and caressing her head and looked at his father for help. No matter what he could never see tears in his mother's eyes.

"Sweetheart, calm down, he is fine. Noting happened to him. Calm down honey" his dad said caressing his wife's back gently who was still hugging Mark.

"Mark, umm where is Rosé?" Rosé's father asked him and he stiffened slightly.

"Umm.. p-papa I sent her h-home. She looked so tired after everything" he said smiling slightly and Mr. Park nodded.

His parents stayed with him for three days and then they left since they had left the business meeting in the middle.

One week later~

Mark refused to meet Rosé the whole week. But Rosé secretly cooked food for him and made the boys give it to him. But Mark didn't know that it was cooked by Rosé. Rosé refused it to be revealed to him. Jackson, Yugyeom and Jinyoung stayed with him taking turns.

Mark was allowed to go home now. His left leg was still in a cast, his right hand wrist and his torso were in a bandage. But the bandage around his head was removed. His bruises were faded. There was a scar on his head where the bandage was earlier. He was recommended to use the crutches compulsorily till the cast was removed which was next month.

Rosé, Jinyoung, Jackson were at the hospital to bring Mark back home. Mark ignored Rosé as much as he could. He refused to even looked at her. The bills were settled and Mark was allowed to go home.

Jinyoung took the driver's seat, Jackson sat in the passenger seat. They did that intentionally so that Mark and Rosé could sit with each other. Mark and Rosé sat at the back seat, Rosé to his left with a lot of space between them.

Rosé felt nervous. Her heartbeat was increasing by the second. But who was she kidding, she felt this whenever he was near her. Mark was feeling the same too.

"Guys~ I'm thirsty" Mark said when they were half way through their way back home. Both Rosé and Jackson held out a bottle towards him. Mark looked at Rosé coldly and took the bottle from Jackson. Rosé felt embarrassed, she sighed and put the bottle back in the holder.
