Chapter Four - Cute Boy

"How much longer do you think it's going to be until this clears up?" Morgan asked as she looked out the window of the black SUV.

"Well, Harley is going to that interview and it should end the people wanting a statement. Then we'll only be dealing with the supporters fighting with the people who think homosexuality or bisexuality is unnatural. Then slowly the supporters will die out and stop being overly protective. Then the haters will shine through before most of them will eventually stop caring or get blocked. Finally, we will be back where we were three days ago and everything will be back to normal until someone gets pictures of us making out with someone or the next big family tragedy strikes," Peter said, "No how long all of that will take, I have no clue. Maybe three months at the longest."

"Okay then, it's decided. We throw one of our parties in two weeks to celebrate Harley coming out," Morgan said as she nodded to herself, "Think that's long enough to get mom and dad out of the house?"

"Oh yeah. With your puppy dog eyes, my charm, and Harley being himself, we can definitely convince them to let us throw at the very least a small party," Peter said, "You know, we are just going to have to make sure everyone remembers the rules of going to our parties."

"Who is going to forget-" Morgan cut herself off and grinned at her older brother, "You want to invite cute boy."

"He has a name you know," Peter said as a blush crept onto his face, "And nothing is going to happen there."

"Oh come on, Peter. You haven't actually dated anyone since Dylan..." Morgan trailed off knowing after she had said it that she had crossed the only line the three siblings had, but she decided to continue talking anyway, "I know, Peter. I know that he hurt you, but you can't give up on all guys because of one who wasn't able to handle this life and went a little crazy."

"A little Morgan? Just a little fucking crazy?" Peter scoffed before crossing his arms and preparing his silent treatment.

"Let me guess that's the last I'm going to get from you today," Morgan rolled her eyes, "Look, I shouldn't have said it so bluntly, I'm sorry," Morgan said out of annoyance.

"Morgan, he gave Tony the silent treatment for two weeks just because the man ate his Halloween candy when he was eight. I don't think he is going to start talking to you just because you apologized," Happy said as he looked at the two Starks through the mirror.

"I screwed up, didn't I?" Morgan huffed.

----

Peter spent most of the day talking to Johnny since he was ignoring Morgan, Harley wasn't coming to school at all, Flash wasn't at school until lunch, and Ned was sick. Sure, Mj was there, but ever since she had tried to kiss Peter at homecoming last year, things had been a little awkward with just the two of them alone. He had done great at avoiding people who would ask questions about Harley and ask what Peter had to say about the pictures of his brother and another guy just before getting hot and heavy.

By lunch, his luck seemed to run out. He was sitting at a table with Johnny, Mj, Flash, and a few other people who never seemed to care much of Peter's fame. He was in the middle of getting to know Cute boy- Johnny when a group of girls came up to him and stood there until he stopped talking to look at them. Half of the girls seemed to be in shock because Peter Stark was looking at them and the other half seemed pissed.

"Can I help you?" Peter asked with an annoyed underbite.

"Yes, actually you can," a girl with blonde hair said. She was one of the more angry ones of this little group. Johnny seemed a little shocked by the girl's actions but they no longer phased Peter and Mj was ignoring them for now.

"So is your brother a fairy or what?" One of the more neutral girls asked. Her question seemed to grab everyone at their table's attention.

Peter gave the girls a bitchy smile before standing on his chair and clapping his hands to grab everyone's attention, "Hey! Not that it's anyone's damn business," Peter looked directly at the girl who had used an offensive slur, "But the interview where my brother is stating his sexuality is airing tonight at seven! Thank you so much for the unbelievable patience in finding out our private business," Peter jumped down from his chair before sitting down.

"Didn't think you had it in you, Peter," Mj chuckled slightly.

"Well she was being especially rude and as much as Tanya is going to hate me for it, I don't have any sympathy or class when it comes to people caring that much about who my brother wants to date," Peter said.

"Is that normal for you?" Johnny asked as he seemed to slowly snap out of his shock. Johnny was like the only person in the school that didn't know the Starks were famous. Well, he didn't know until two days ago, the day after Harley's tweet, after school when Peter and Harley were nearly mobbed by the paparazzi.

Peter and Johnny had talked and the latter seemed cool about it. Peter was thankful for that

"Depends on the day, really," Peter said as he took a bite of his food, "Thursdays are usually days where I get almost left completely alone and Wednesdays are usually the days everyone decides to spell out each reason they hate you and that you're an awful person."

"Damn," Johnny said before taking another bite of food.

Peter thought it was awesome that Johnny didn't care too much about the whole fame thing. Most people either wanted nothing to do with him because he was a Stark, freaked out every time they saw him, or they used him for fame. Johnny didn't seem to care about all of it that much. Peter was really starting to like him but was forcing himself to settle for a friend. After all, he couldn't have anything serious with anyone who didn't understand the life he lived. He had already seen how horrible that would end.

Peter was beginning to find it offensive that one guy could be mouthwatering hot, more adorable than most puppies, and a good person all at once. He was really beginning to fall for the blonde boy and was in complete and utter denial about it. He refused to believe that he was letting himself fall into a trap he swore to himself he would never find himself in again.

Peter was snapped out of his thoughts by someone shaking his shoulder gently, "Huh! What?" Peter exclaimed as he snapped himself out of his self-induced trans.

"You zoned out," Johnny smiled kindly, "Your physics class starts in like two minutes."

"What about you?" Peter asked he scrambled to get his things together.

"Off period. Now don't be late to your class on my account," Johnny waved him off.

Peter gave Cute Boy- Johnny a thankful smile before heading off for physics class.
