(NOTE: From this chapter on (or depending on the mood) I will be focusing on the three Ketchum siblings and the OC's. I know people were looking forward to seeing more battles and what not but I don't want this story to drag on and bore you readers. I decided to cut some things and focus on the PLOT of the story and the characters. I might do a chapter or two on other characters but that might be put as a separate parody which I MIGHT create as oneshots. I hope you all understand and thank you all once again for your loving support on this story. It really means a lot to me.)
(NOTE- This chapter has been sponsored by 'Save the Sharpedo' foundation. Every year more than five thousand Sharpedo's are taken from their families and killed for their skin. With your help and support, we can overcome this tragedy and help all the Sharpedo's we need. Please, no Sharpedo deserves such abuse. Together we will see to it that the Brutal Pokemon can be saved and in a place where they are protected.)
After making such a shocking deceleration after my exhibition match against Misty, I head my way to the hospital ward to help tend to the Sharpedo I have got. When I arrived, I saw my family, friends and lover waiting for me. They all congratulated me on my performance and for the excellent match. As nice as the compliments I was getting, my mind drifts elsewhere and all I could think about was getting the poor Sharpedo some medical attention.
Ash and Cecilia placed their hands on my shoulders, shocking me out of my thoughts.
"We know that look." Cecilia said, "Lets go get Sharpedo that medical attention he needs."
"Y-Yeah..." My voice, as strong as I tried, croaked. I just couldn't fathom the story of the Brutal Pokemon.
"We've got your back, bro." Ash said, "He will be okay."
"I-I hope so..." I replied. We all went in the room where I ordered one of the Head Nurse Joy's to tend to Sharpedo.
Once I got Sharpedo out of his Pokeball, he was picked up and placed on a bed.
"W-What's...happening...?" I heard Sharpedo speak. He was wheezing and muttering in pain.
"Everything's going to be okay." I gently placed a hand on his head on rubbed it, "Nurse Joy is going to heal your injuries."
"I-I-I don't wanna be alone...c-could you come with me...?"
"I don't think I'm allowed to be in the room when they treat you."
"I'm scared...I want you with me...mama..."
I just felt my heart break at that and tears rolling down my face. To hear a child, be it human or Pokemon to refer to me as their parent was too much. I felt happy and maternal but to be compared to someones who's role is a guardian... Am I capable of such a role?
"I-I'll be there soon Sharpedo." I assure him, "Please be a good boy and be brave for the nurse."
"I-I will mama... I-I'll be a good boy for you..." Nurse Joy gave me a nod and slowly took Sharpedo into the next room. I watched as the baby Brutal Pokemon go further and further away.
Having powers to hear a Pokemon is both a blessing and a major burden. I hate hearing Pokemon in pain, I hate hearing such despair, anguish, sadness, malice...
Why?
Why can't people and Pokemon get along?
"Babe..." Gary pulls me into his arms while Umbreon does the same with Sylveon who was tearing up and sniffling. "Its going to be alright."
"Poor Ethan." Ash said, "It must be hard what he is experiencing."
"No joke." Cecilia spoke, "Even though we have the power to communicate with Pokemon, our brother has it worse."
