Chapter 6: Arrival and Easy Conquest (Part 2)

Zi Yuan was worried. Her daughter, the only symbol of her love for General Ming had informed her about the discovery of the tomb of the dragon emperor by some foreigners. Lin, her little flower had tried to stop them but ultimately failed. She then followed them to the museum of Hong Kong where they were planning to reveal the body of the dragon emperor to the whole world. A whole day had passed since then and no further information had forwarded by Lin to her. Her gaze was lingering in the sky hoping to see the familiar silhouette of their pet hawk bringing with it,  the news of events happening down in Hong Kong and of course, the news of her daughter. Zi Yuan moved from the entrance of the cave to the edge of the pool of eternal life and began to admire the miniature paradise land
lying just behind the pool. She always found her worries blown away by the heavenly view in front of her. But today, she was feeling very uneasy as if something bad will happen. As she was lost in her musings, she heard several loud sounds and felt searing pains in her back. She fell forward and realised that she had been shot by more than one person. As she turned around with great difficult, she saw a group of uniformed men running towards her. She found herself quickly surrounded and tied up with ropes before she could even fully register about what had happened to her. She asked the men surrounding her, " Who are you?" She did not get any answers from them but soon felt something hitting the back of head and then, she fainted.

A FEW HOURS BEFORE;

Alexander together with his little group of fanatics ( Author's Thoughts : As who the hell in his right mind would try to bring back a 2000 years old mummy back to life so that the said mummy could rule the world) moved towards the enterance of the Shangri-La. Alexander stopped a few hundred meters away from the entrance and ordered the soldiers to take shelter behind some rocks. The last few hours of movement had robed them of their energy and as they are his most important pieces in the upcoming struggle. Alexander turned towards General Wang and gestured to come with him, " General Wang, do you want to become immortal? "

General Wang thought that I was taking his test and quickly refused and said some words in flattery.

Alexander did not pay attention to his words after his refusal and continued, " General Wang, if you help me conquer the world as a reward I will make you immortal so that you can serve me till the ends of time."

General Wang realised that the emperor was serious about making him immortal and thanked his ancestors for their good deeds and bowed towards Alexander, " I will place the world at your feet, my emperor." Alexander simply nodded and thought it will be not easy to conquer the world even with the help of the terracotta army as people will resist even Chinese people will not readily accept him let alone the whole world. It will take years to conquer the whole world. Alexander could take the violent route and simply wage war and he will certainly do so in order to establish the bridge and connect the two worlds. But this was not the time to think about his invasion plan as he had thought of a perfect way to deal with the immortal witch, Zi Yuan. Alexander said, " General Wang,  according to ancient texts, there is a guardian of the eternal pool of life, those who want to use the pool cannot attack it and those who do will not get to use the pool. As I am going to use the pool and in future you will also so we cannot attack it."

General Wang, " Then what will we do, your majesty?"

Alexander noted that even if the general was a loyal man, he was not a good thinker. The only reason that Alexander was not letting the general fight because without him how can he command the soldiers. Alexander continued, "  We will let the soldiers fight the guardian. The guardian is not some otherworldly being but an ordinary human who first drank from the pool, we will let our soldiers fight him. They will fire at him from a distance and when he is injured, they will tie him up and knock him out."
