Chapter 61: Meeting and New Life

Alexander placed his hand over the droid and injected king's might into him. Alexander willed the droid to evolve into a new life form and also to have a soul. Alexander felt all his king's might drain in an instant but he didn't stop and started absorbing force from his surroundings and quickly converting it into the king's might. For hours, this process continued and at the end of the process, Alexander was dead tired both in body and mind. Alexander looked towards Ark and found that he now had a soul and his body was covered in a white light.

The white light eventually faded away and a humanoid figure with a height of three feet was revealed. The figure was shiny grey in colour with blue eyes. Before Alexander could examine the humanoid figure, a bright light flashed across his eyes and he found himself sitting on a chair in front of a table inside a modern office room. A figure suddenly appeared on the opposite end. Alexander recognised him as the old man who had reincarnated him. Alexander was confused as he didn't understand why he was brought here but he didn't speak as the atmosphere of the room was very serious.

The old man spoke in a grave tone, " Do you know what you did?"

Alexander, " I think that you are talking about upgrading Ark."

The old man continued in the same grave tone, " You did more than just an upgradation. You created a new life form in a world that didn't allow such beings to exist. This send a ripple on multiversal scale and attracted the attention of the cosmic entity ruling this part of existence. But it did not stop there, unfortunately, that cosmic entity was having a conference about some petty war between their alliance and another alliance. You don't need to know about this as it is only a form of entertainment for them. They also grew curious as the ripple was sensed by them also. Thankfully, as you were spending massive amount of king's might, the only alert that I placed on you activated and I was informed of your deed. I interfered and stopped the cosmic entities from investigating."

Alexander, " Why did you put an alert me? How did you interfere?"

The old man, " I had reincarnated you as a being who could grow powerful enough to effect the whole plane of existence. The alert was to monitor you, if you had misused your powers to cause inbalance on the multiversal scale then I would have erased you from existence. I am an overseer of multiverse, it's my duty to maintain the balance of the multiverse. Your act disturbed this multiverse so I was alerted, I didn't erase you from existence as you were a good kid so I checked up on you. I came to know that you had unintentionally done this and had no intention of harming the multiverse. I made the curious cosmic entities aware that I had descended to that universe to see the sights for a few years and my return caused the ripple. It is not uncommon for the overseers to descend on lower planes to escape the monotony of our jobs."

Alexander grew pale at the thought of his near death but quickly composed himself, " The cosmic entities wage war with each other which destroys entire multiverses so why did you placed an alert on me?"

The old man, " The cosmic entities cannot interfere in the multiverse which are below threshold. Think of below threshold universes or multiverses as humans below the age of 18 years and overseers as their caretakers, we ensure that nothing happens to these universes that harms them."

Alexander, " But countless universes get destroyed every second. Why did you not interfere in them?"

The old man, " We are only their caretakers against outside interference. The law of jungle is the only law that is universal throughout the existence. We are only there to ensure that the jungle don't get destroyed or the animals don't get poached by outsiders while the rest is a fair game. A lion living in the jungle kills a whole herd of deer for fun, it doesn't concern us. We are only their to ensure that there are no outside interference and you are a product of outside interference."
