New Years Surprise//Dan

You were knocking on the door to Dan and Phil's flat for about 15 seconds. Then you could finally hear footsteps behind the door, and then someone opened it. You weren't surprised when you saw it was Dan.

"Hey, Dan!" you said as you smiled and got pulled into a friendly hug.

"Hey Y/N," Dan says as he then lets go of you and welcomes you in.

"So, what time are we leaving for Zoe's party?" you asked curiously.

"Around an hour from now. You ready?" Dan asked.

"Of course I am, I'm a girl," you said as you and Dan laughed.

"Haha, okay good. We could just watch TV or something," Dan said as he sat down on the couch. You sat down right next to him.

Dan went to Netflix and turned on an episode of Too Cute! That show always made you guys happy.

"Aww, look at the little kitten!" you said as there was a kitten taking it's first steps.

"Aww!" Dan said as he put his arm around you unexpectedly. You went along with it by just resting your head on his shoulder.

Towards the middle of the episode, Dan paused it. "I have to get dressed," he said as he got up and went to his room.

You grabbed the bag you had with you and went to the bathroom to change. You put on a pair of black leggings and a long sleeve shirt with pictures of kittens on it in black and white. You finished your outfit with a pair of black converse and natural hair.

You were staring at yourself in the mirror for about 3 minutes. Then you started to quietly talk to yourself.

"I'm ugly," you said as you slid to the ground and curled yourself up in a ball. "I'm a fat blob that nobody likes."

You started to cry a little. Then Dan knocked on the door.

"Hey, Y/N, you alright in there?" Dan asked curiously.

You just sniffed and answered. "No."

Dan opened the door carefully and looked at you sitting on the ground. He picked you up and pulled you in for a tight hug.

"Y/N, why are you crying?" Dan asked worriedly.

"I'm fat, nobody likes me, I'm just...ugly," you said as you cried into Dan's chest.

Dan sighed and rubbed your head, then went down to your back.

"Babe- I mean, Y/N," Dan said as he heated up. "Okay, I love you. I don't care what you think about that, I just can't help myself. You're so beautiful, sweet, amazing, and I honestly couldn't ask for a better best friend. Please, don't hate yourself and call yourself fat. You shouldn't hate yourself, and you aren't fat," Dan said as he hugged you tightly.

Your heart was beating really fast, and by the sound of it, so was Dan's. You let go and looked at Dan, then smiled.

"That's the beautiful smile I love to see," Dan said as he caressed your cheek. "Now c'mon, we have a party to go to."

You nodded and grabbed Dan's black leather coat. Dan got his long black coat and the keys.

"Wait, where's Phil?" you asked curiously.

"Oh, right, I forgot to tell you he is out with family," Dan said as he laughed slightly.

"Oh, haha, okay," you said as you and Dan started to walk to Zoe's.
