"Emile?"

Emile looked up and then immediately looked back at his work. "What do you want, Remy?"

"So you're still mad at me, huh?"

"Of course I am! You tried to strangle a guy!"

"He was going to take Virgil away from me!" Remy protested.

"Do you really believe that, Remy? Do you really believe that Roman was going to take Virgil away? Or were you just scared that Virgil had finally found a nice guy and he was going to forget about you?"

"It's the same difference!"

"You know that's not true." Emile said, putting a hand on Remy's shoulder. "Why are you so scared of Roman?"

Remy sighed. "What if he's another Daniel? I don't want Virge to go through that, he couldn't take it."

"Remy, calm down. Virgil is stronger than you think. He'll be fine." Emile reassured.

Remy sighed again and smiled slightly. Then, he grabbed Emile's hand and twirled him around, laughing. "Let me take you out tonight!" He said, grinning at Emile's blushing face.

"You mean, like, on a date?" Emile asked. Remy nodded and Emile blushed even more.

"Please say yes? I've liked you for a long time now." Remy muttered, also turning red.

Emile laughed, not unkindly. "Sure. One question though, how much did Virgil pay you to ask me on a date?"

Remy laughed and held up a handful of pound notes. "Enough to take you to the cinema."

"Hello, we'd like to purchase tickets to see this film." Emile said to the man in the box, holding Remy's hand. The man looked between them both.

"Couples only film, sir." He grumbled.

"Yes, we know."

The man looked between Remy and Emile again. "Couples as in boy and girl."

"Look mate," Remy said, his short temper fraying, "we are just trying to see a film. Now, I don't know a lot about business but what I do know is this. One bad review can send a whole place downhill. If me and Emile here were to complain about this cinema to our friends and then they were to complain to their friends, this whole cinema would have no customer in a matter of weeks. So, either let us in and keep up a good rep our make us go elsewhere and risk becoming unemployed."

The man glared at Remy. "I'll take my chances." He said.

Remy growled but was pulled away by Emile before he could do anything.

"What're you doing, Em? We could still get into the cinema!" Remy whined.

"Remy, forget it. If they've got a homophobe at the gates, I don't think either of us want to see the movie anyway." Emile said spitefully. "But that was a brave thing to do." He said, kissing Remy on the nose and making his whole face turn pink.

Remy sighed as Emile giggled. "Well where are we going to go then?"

"Well... the park's always open."

It was about an hour later and night had fallen. Remy and Emile were sitting on a park bench, eating chips out of paper cones.

"Sorry about all this, Em. This has been a crappy first date." Remy muttered.

"Remy, this has been amazing." Emile said, his eyes shining. "It's been the best fun I've ever had. And also, first?"

Remy chuckled slightly. "I mean, I assumed you'd want another date?" He asked slyly. Emile shook his head disbelievingly.

"You're an idiot." He muttered before leaning over and kissing Remy.

When he pulled back, both of their faces were pink but Remy had a slightly triumphant smile on his face. "So that's a yes?"
