Walt's P.O.V.

When I heard that Sadie was on a trip in the duat, I almost lost it. But I kept my emotions in check because I am known to be cool under immense pressure. (Don't laugh Khufu!)

And what sources was Sadie talking about? Probably Isis. They love talking fun about me behind my back. I knew about it though, Isis can't keep a secret.

I'm not gonna lie, I was worried about Sadie. Even if her magic has grown dramatically over the past year, she was still just a teenager. Plus now that she was more powerful she would be easier to smell, and if she got even a thorn in her finger every single monster would be able to track her from the other side of the Duat.

She told me not to tell Carter, but her power has grown too large. It was a danger to her. Remember when she called upon Ma'at? She passed out afterwards both times. Now she could summon it with almost no problems. Maybe that's the reason why I was so worried about her. The stronger her magic is the easier it is for demons to find her.

Three Days Later

Carter's P.O.V.

It's been three days, Sadie should have been back today. That is unless something went terribly wrong like it always does. She could be in trouble, bleeding, unconscious, even-no! I had to have faith in my little sister. As hard as that was to imagine. (Ow! Who was that?!) Anyway the clock at Brooklyn house chimed midnight, I frowned. (Frowning will NOT give me wrinkles. No-Stay out of this Sadie!)

Anyway, when the clock read midnight it had now been four days, Walt would be back tomorrow. If she wasn't here by then he would tear apart the Duat like it was tissue paper just to find her.

I went into her room again to see if she had magically appeared on her bed. She hadn't. But I did see her phone on her night stand. Which was strange. She never goes anywhere without her phone. She's not the same as Percy or Annabeth using electronics doesn't attract monster's to her.

I was about to walk out when I heard her cell go off. I picked it up. The screen read Annabeth. Annabeth? Curious as to why Annabeth would be calling my sister a quarter after midnight I answered it. "Sadie? Is that you? Are you okay?"

"Annabeth?"

"Who is this?"

"Carter, why are you calling my sister this late?"

"Why are you answering your sister's phone this late?" she shot back.

I stayed quiet for a moment. Sadie and Annabeth we're friends. Besides I could trust Annabeth. I told her that "Sadie is missing in the duat." Annabeth screamed so loud that I had to bring the phone away from my ear.

"Why was she in there in the first place?"

"Isis wanted her to check something."

"Isis? You mean the goddess of rainbows and magic?"

"Do you know another Isis that would send someone who is practically her daughter to do such a dangerous quest?"

"You'd be surprised..."

"Never mind that, Sadie didn't stop by yours or Percy's place did she?"

"No. I'll keep an eye out, bye."

"Wait!"

"What?"

"Why did you call in the first place?"

There was silence for a moment. "I should tell you in person, I've been on the phone too long already. If Sadie doesn't return by noon today, meet me at the burger place where you and Percy went after your first battle with the crocodile."
